So had a chat with local businessman.
The current covid unemployment compensation....

99 weeks of unemployment at a rate that equals $16.50 an hour of pay for a 40 hour week.

He can not find people to work.

I said to him, “ So the new minimum wage is north of $16.50 if you want to get someone to get off the couch”?

He looks at me and the wheels click.

So if the new minimum wage has increased by over 100% will it push up other wages?

I would rather then do it this way, then have press follow him, and try to milk the families grief for Biden clout
I understand.

It's just that after his..performances (and naps) at press functions lately, and the media (even CNN) turning on him for his handling of A-stan, it feels less like the media would use it to simp for Biden and more like they may take the families side.

However it is a risky gamble, and keep the press out all together does keep them from milking and doing misleading edits of Biden's actions/words to make him look better.

Might as well take the deal, unless you are going to stay there and make sure the Taliban is dead doing a Cuba is retarded.
Except... You know... The lack of funds needed to run a government is actively causing the Taliban to fall apart as they try...

Ah I love the smell of missile spam in the morning
We have no choice but to protect Taiwan. That is where the bulk of the micro chips that go in damn near everything come from. Taiwan is literally a strategic asset.
At least until the US based micro chip factories we're spending billions on come online late in the decade. Then things get interesting

CDC to Spend Millions of Taxpayer Dollars on Gun ‘Health Threat

President Biden’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is gearing up to spend millions of taxpayer dollars fighting the “serious public health threat” posed by gun violence.

CDC director Dr. Rochelle Walensky referenced gun crime in various cities and said, “Something has to be done about this. Now is the time — it’s pedal to the metal time,” CNN reported.

“The scope of the problem is just bigger than we’re even hearing about, and when your heart wrenches every day you turn on the news, you’re only hearing the tip of the iceberg. We haven’t spent the time, energy and frankly the resources to understand this problem because it’s been so divided,” she added.

"I'm not here about gun control. I'm here about preventing gun violence and gun death,"
@CDCDirector
Dr. Rachelle Walensky says about her plan to reduce gun violence in the United States. https://cnn.it/3mCJzLT

“I swore to the President and to this country that I would protect your health. This is clearly one of those moments, one of those issues that is harming America’s health,” Walensky said.

The CDC is spending $2,224,482 to track the number of patients entering hospitals with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
The agency is also spending $8,085,935 on research projects “to prevent gun violence and injuries,” CNN said.

Walensky said her push is not “about gun control,” even as she oversees an agency spending millions on tracking gun-related incidents and gun violence, Insider noted.

Notice the usual leftist tactics: declare the firearm the cause of the problem, not the criminals using them.

I think I speak in bipartisan fashion when I say fuck Bolton and his well compensated murderboner.

Just another evolution of their never ending language games. I'm looking forward to bigotry being declared a mental illness so I can qualify for welfare.

They've been pushing the "gun violence is a public health threat" idea for a while as a transparent way to circumvent the Constitution, and I'm honestly not surprised to see another push of it considering what has been done against personal liberties in the name of public health recently.
Hopefully the SC finds trying to use the CDC to pass gun control as ridiculous as they found using the CDC to block evictions.

Considering how they've punted every other gun rights case that's come along the past few years, I'm not terribly optimistic.

This is actually good the press isn't there. Because they would use it for the whole "Look BIDEN CARES" and cut out the marine mother cussing him out and everything.

Also because the press is a bunch of jackals and nobody wants to deal with their shit when they pop up.

Maybe keeping Biden away from the families all together might be better for his PR.

Edit: Nevermeind, he went anyway, and I expect that the family's displeasure at that will become known fairly soon.

In his defense, he’d get slammed for not bothering to pay attention to this when the bodies arrive, and while some of the families likely weren’t thrilled, not showing up would also have pissed people off.
