I mean, around here the small businesses are CONSISTENTLY out paying the large businesses.

I'd say my area is a oretty good mix of low income and high class upper income. I was recently reading articles about how this is one of the most mixed areas in the state. Like you'll have one block that's all mansions and million+ dollar homes, and a block over it's section 8 projects lol.

Like I mentioned earlier, a local pizza place and a local taco place are paying $20 an hour. Good luck getting that at McDonald's.
Oh there is a place a family friend owns and he isn't making bank, but he is paying people plenty, and i think it is just him and two other people. A single waitress that I saw, maybe two.
Makes plenty. There are small businesses that make plenty in revenue thay can have others keep a living wage, or hire families so it is easier.
Perhaps it would then behoove some small businesses to update and reexamine their business models, and figure out how to operate with fewer staff, if they are not willing to raise their wages.

And if a place cannot pay a living wage, then it should not expect employees to be willing to do the job as more than a part time gig, till they find something better.

If small businesses cannot survive a rise in wages, to help people actually do more than live paycheck to paycheck, then maybe the business doesn't deserve to survive. People do not owe companies our labor, no matter what size they are, and trying to cling to past economic paradigms is foolish in the extreme.

Also, small businesses do not have stockholders to satisfy, so they can pay more directly to employees without worrying about if it will affect their price on Wall Street.
So a place that has been around for hundreds of years in New York should shut down because the State us fucking then over and they can't compete with wage?

If a model works, why change it? Plenty of big cities have a lot of old places that have closed because they can't support it now adays. Families losing thier work and even thier homes because of this shit

Because the world is not static, and trying to cling to old modes of operation out of pride or stubbornness is foolish as shit.

Adapt or die is not just a rule for the natural world, it's a rule for the business world as well.

The problem here is that bad covid policy made this shit happen too fast.

Companies having to raise wages to compete for our labor is good for us. That's why we don't want rampant illegal Immigration.

We were headed in this direction under Trump. Wages were raising, the economy was through the roof, fucking EVERYBODY was making money. It was great.

Then covid policy hit and destroyed revenue with lockdowns. Artificially shrunk the work force with expanded unemployment paying more than the jobs were, and just fucked everything up. Created this situation where companies are making less but have to pay more.

I think in time it will sort itself out, but for right now, it's a god damn mess.

Some places could have survived the Spanish flu and are going under.
They can adapt, buy in certain places they can not overcome. They are basically being left to die by big business and tje government

It's probably a lie and we probably have top secret tech that's as good or better than nukes anyways.* Also nukes these days are way more powerful.

This is still enough to ensure we cripple just about anyone we want to destroy.

* During the UFO craze easier this year I went digging and read a ton of shit and listened to every podcast I could find. Amongst the reports from people who seem reputable, there were stories of flying objects that could disable nukes. Now, alien stories fascinate me, but I'm also a huge skeptic. So if we pretend this story is true for a second...rather than it being aliens, that would indicate that some country has some kind of crazy tech that can disable nukes. If any country has crazy secret tech, it's probably the US.

And more accurate. You no longer need 10 megatons to destroy a target because of how targeting has evolved so much that the largest warhead in US arsenal is 450 kilotons. And generally speaking in the past there were a lot more nukes because of how much less advanced guidance systems were. And back then there were a lot of tactical nukes which have for the large part been disposed of.

And generally speaking the current arsenal of US is still very large. China has about 250 nukes. UK and France are at the same ballpark. And India, Pakistan and Israel are at half that. Russia excluded, US has more nuclear weapons than the rest of the countries in the world combines.
This is still enough to ensure we cripple just about anyone we want to destroy.
And I generally like diminishing nuclear weapons numbers in the world anyway. The smaller the nuke count, the better are the chances that a human civilization can still come back from a nuclear war.

The US should be the last country to get rid of them

Sometimes I wonder if they're actually paying you to come in here and defend everything they do lol
This....
Is standard practice because they still have to have permission to go through a lot of your stuff

They don't need your permission at all
Uh...
Yes they do.
If you don't give them the names to your social medias they can't do shit unless they stumble upon it.
If they catch you it is your damn fault for making it fucninf obvious

A couple articles discussing the teacher memo:

The Biden Justice Department’s Lawless Threat against American Parents | National Review

DOJ’s Appalling Crackdown on Parents | National Review

Certainly, there have been incidents where school officials have been threatened, possibly even threatened in a legally actionable manner. With an issue this large, with so many people involved, it's nearly inevitable.

That is not the DOJ's problem or job. Threats or acts against state school officials are a violation of state laws and a matter for state law enforcement, the federal government has no jurisdiction here.
