Well, yeah we're miserable bastards here in the UK, but that's because we choose to be. :p And Japan has its... own problems, to put it lightly.
Yep.USA do not send rape-pakistani to your country.

And Japan...according to what i read, more then 50% of young people are,and always would be,virgins - not becouse of religion, but anime.

If it is true, then we would get first genocide made by anime.

Russia is unleashing the modern day version of Rifts Glitterboys on Ukraine and NATO has nothing in its arsenal that can counter them.

>modern day
More like last century's, this thing may be something like 80 years old.

Eh, a PTRS would still fuck a Humvee up and might even be a threat to a Bradley, and ammo for it is easier and cheaper to make than ATGMs. No lasers or sensors to jam or dazzle, just a dumb chunk of metal flying at pretty high velocities, aimed in by the Mk 1 eyeball.

So while kinda a joke, anti-material/anti-vehicle rifles like the PTRS do likely have some utility to the Russians.

It will, if it hits... However it has no mounting for optics, and there are modern anti materiel rifles using the same ammo, which with such large rounds translates to massively increased effective range, especially against smaller or partially covered targets, because WW2 soviet manufacturing quality doesn't make one think of precision.

What are the odds of Ukraine building a new nuclear arsenal when this conflict ends?
Pretty low. They'll try for NATO membership first, which would give them the benefit of nuclear deterrent without having to pay for it. Depending on the politics of Europe and the USA when the war ends, they may or may not get in; right now it seems extremely likely to popular perception, but that won't necessarily play out when the war actually ends.

If they don't get in, then a number of years down the road they might pursue it, because it's pretty obvious that if they had possessed nukes, Russia would not have tried this shit.

I recall a while back that Zelensky‘s vision for Ukraine after the War was for it to be like Israel. There’s many ways of interpreting that, but I’m getting the impression of “armed to the teeth republic.” And we know the Israelis have got nuclear weapons stashed away somewhere (not that you can blame them given their history).

I would not be surprised if they tried for a deterrent like that, especially after such horrors at the hands of the Russians.

What are the odds of Ukraine building a new nuclear arsenal when this conflict ends?

Not likely. For one thing, I doubt they'll have the resources. This war is chewing them up badly.

And the West, while happy to give them conventional hardware, tends to be not-too-helpful about any country, even a close ally, wanting to join the Nuclear Club.

What are the odds of Ukraine building a new nuclear arsenal when this conflict ends?
They'll be like Israel and have non-confirmed nukes, or like Japan or SK with a 'nuke in the basement'.

Of course if they enter NATO, then they'll just have the standard NATO nuke umbrella, though they may also still try for their own nukes unofficially, instead of asking for US nukes.

So TLDR the basic timeline of the War is as follows:

March 17th 2022: The War for all Intents and Purposes Has Been Decided. Ukraine has lost.
April 20th 2022: We are in the final stage of the War in Ukraine. 40-60,000 Ukrainian troops have been cut off without fuel, food or ammunition.
May 25th 2022: We are in the final phase of the War. Ukrainian Troops in the Donbass have been immobilized and surrounded. Fighting can only last for a few more weeks.
June 30th 2022: Ukraine has collapsed. No one wants to admit it.
July 22nd 2022: A Massive Russian Offensive in the next thirty days will end this war.
August 26th 2022: The War is Lost and its too late to arm Ukraine now. It's pointless.
September 12th 2022: The War will be over soon. The Ukrainians are losing badly south of Kharkiv.
November 23rd 2022: Ukrainian Air Defenses have collapsed. Russia will wipe out Ukraine in the coming days.
November 23rd 2022: Once the ground freezes, the Russian Army will finish off the Ukrainian state.
December 26th 2022: MacGregor appreciates and admires the tactics of the Russian Generals. Ukrainian Army will collapse soon.
February 1st 2023: Ukraine will be collapsing in the coming weeks.
April 9th 2023: Ukraine will disappear by the end of 2023.

Well,i could do better -
UKRAINE WOULD FALL ! Someday. Certainly during next 2000 years !

I saw this in the morning, it's combat footage reportedly released or taken by Ukrainian Special Forces storming a Russian trench. People get shot in this video. It's pretty wild.

I was going to sit on sharing it just because... but now people are reporting one of the people who were killed in the video was the infamous pro-Russian reporter Semyon Pegov or 'War Gonzo' because one of the armed combatants shot on screen was seen wearing blue (ie 'press') clothing and shared some of the prominent features of Sergey like the red beard and potential likelihood of suffering from massive head trauma.

Most people are meme'ing off of his possible death and honestly, it seems unlikely to me at this juncture. I doubt he'd consider using a gun even if the UkroNazis were storming the trench and he had one forcibly super glued to his hands.

Ultimately, it is kind of tragic watching the video to be honest. The people shot and killed in this video, they seemed very unprepared for what was about to happen to them. Russia is shoveling poorly prepared mobilized troops into this War and they are dying every day and it's all preventable if Russia leaves Ukraine.
