If memory serves me, some branches of the US military had been asking for less money... at least until this crap in Ukraine started happening.

EDIT:

They're both Orthodox countries, so "barbaric and primitive" would be kinda default mode for them, from what I see of Orthodox countries... though I do wonder if I'm mistaken here and it is just Balkans still being raped by Ottoman cultural legacy...
You forget a bit of history that Orthodox countries have been invaded and subjugated by outside forces for centuries before and after they became Christian.

Here is the Mongol and Roman empire compared.

So all of them learned from their invaders sort of.

If you can find a single instance, of anyone anywhere, representing any military force on earth, saying they need less money I will eat my hat.

Probably referencing the military wanted to close, discontinue or decommission things in order to save money due to having to operate within a budget.

Well, leaving aside how accurate what you said is, I don't think it even supports the other guy's assertion that Orthodox Country A is more barbaric and primitive than Orthodox Country B. (Ukraine has a higher rate of Christianity, but about the same rate of Orthodox vs other types of Christianity.)

Yeah, that's why I added the part in the brackets. Because Serbs in particular picked up a lot from the Ottomans. Hell, literally everything they say that Ustashi did to them - including in Jasenovac - are descriptions of actual Ottoman crimes, merely copy-pasted into another era.
Uh what? We havnt been asking for less money

Wasn't there a case when US Army asked for fewer Abrams tanks yet the Congress forced them into the budget anyway? Granted, it was to preserve the production skillset, but still...

Okay just found this and it if correct could be leveraged to a boon for Ukraine. New Ukraine made GROM ballistic missile , has a 500km range.
If they can saturate the bridge into Crimea and knock it out Russia is screwed and would loose their military in Crimea or have to withdraw even the Navy assets.

People who think the Ukraine War is all part of some grand conspiracy need to get off the sodding internet and touch grass.

Sorry, lads. Had to be said.
Issue is, even if it is not a part of some grand conspiracy - and I don't think it is, to be clear - Western elites will still find a way to use the war to screw over both the West and Ukraine. Just like they did with Croatia and rest of former Yugoslavia.

To globalist elites, there are no tragedies. There are only opportunities.

Of course.Everybody remember, how 19.2.2022 Biden begged Putin to not start big war,and promised no sanctions if war woud be limited.
It is obvious, that Putin started total war on his own, witchout USA or China knowledge. And now is paying for that.

Summation of what was known about the Drone Strike on the Sevastopol Oil Farm. The fires weren't extinguished, allegedly the fuel just burned up.

Modified Mugin-5 Drones Possibly Used. Perhaps multiple ones launched.

If the strike did originate from near Odessa it may reinforce the Russian desire to modify or curb the Black Sea Grain Initiative made last year.

Prediction: Ukraine will win this war eventually sooner or later because the entire world is watching.

Big question is whether we'll see European Union and NATO allowing Ukraine to join both organizations?
A.) YES
B.) NO
C.) TBD

That sort of stuff is part of the reason.
If the fancy engines for fancy T-90's get disappeared like this, imagine what happens to more boring and less valuable parts. And then no wonder that the tanks don't get properly maintained, randomly break and get abandoned if they have no spares and can't even requisition more because then someone would ask what happened to the previous spares.
I have to say, this sort of thing needs to warrant summary execution. Normally I’d think putting someone up against a wall for corruption is excessive, but this has gotten so far out of control that it has to be savagely dealt with.

Eh, this is nothing. Our government sold oil to Serbia in middle of the war. And in 1991., again during the war, fifteen M-84 tanks were withdrawn from the Slavonia front and sold to Kuwait. Why they needed them so quickly, I have no idea.

Though one could make an argument that openly selling whole tanks is still better than covertly selling just tank engines, because at least you know what you have sold and what you still have.

Corruption really does decrease IQ, doesn't it?
