That is SICK. Makes me think that VLS-launched Hellfire-L thing they did for the LCS program is neater than they're letting on. Actual over-the-horizon capability.

Just look at the next-gen air-to-ground missile, the AGM-179 Joint Air-to-Ground Missile. It's basically a reboot of the AGM-169 Joint Common Missile, with triple-mode hybrid guidance integrating laser, millimeter wave radar, and imaging infrared, configured for both fixed-wing and rotary-wing launch. It's intended as an all-in-one replacement for Hellfire, Maverick, and TOW, and the entire reason imaging infrared is in the equation is that it substantially enhances the ability to do algorithm-based autonomous targeting.

(While derived from the helicopter-launched Hellfire, the Brimstone is set up exclusively for fixed wing launch. MBDA at one point proposed a helicopter-launched version, but this was never actually developed.)

Well, to be fair in the US you also have politicians - like the late John McCarty - that said idiotic things like that time and again.
USA do not invaded Canada. And if they do,they would take it in 2 weeks, not fight without results 80 days.
Moscov want genocide us,just like ukrainians - but,tey are unable to do so.
or,as @Chiron would say,it is all feint. They wait for right moment, and then take not only Poland, but entire Europe in week.

Canada is rather too large to be conquered in two weeks -- it's slightly larger than the United States, and either North American country is only a little bit smaller than all of Europe put together.

Plus the Canadians are our Brothers. They will not fight. They will lay down their arms instead of shooting a brother and let us replace their Fascist Neo-Liberal Government with our far superior Fascist Neo-Liberal Government. The East Doesn't Understand the Cultural Link Between USA and Canada.

Toronto Ottawa in three days. Rest of Canada in Two Weeks.

Triple-mode guidance? That sounds an awful lot like an SDB-II - er, I mean StormBreaker - with a rocket motor on it. Which is good! Of course it'd be better if the Stormbreaker was actually taking its seeker etc. from the AGM-179 to save costs but lol_lmao_scorpion.jpg.

Incidentally I had no idea the AGM-179 was already operational, or that it'd started LRIP in 2018!

It *is* the same seeker, or at least based on the same tech. The Stormbreaker's made by Raytheon versus Lockheed Martin for the JCM/JAGM, but it appears that the triple-mode guidance on JAGM is an "option" from Raytheon, the base-model guidance from LM is only dual mode.

True - considering that conqest by USA mean replacing one fascist with another, there is really no reason for fight.

Some people don't understand that one of the defining characteristics of being Canadian is not being American.

..? Really? The idea of the joke is that it's using language that mirrors preinvasion Russian beliefs, which were demonstrated to be well off the mark. It's funny, because with the greater familiarity of the situation, we can clearly see that such reasoning is stupid in the US-Canada case, and it's a bit of a "pointed" joke because the implication is that it was equally obviously bad reasoning in the Russia-Ukraine case, and the Russian leadership are stupid for buying into their own bs.

TL;DR - WOOOOSH!

Ooooh, that explains it. Thank you. Wikipedia is an awful source at the best of times and honestly there's not many others out there worth a damn; hunting down detailed information on any of this stuff is difficult at best. See the Wiki page for Excalibur; note the range section says "latest test - 70km." And the only source linked is a Chinese-language site. Just the other day on TheDrive I stumbled across this video; an Excalibur shell used with an XM1113 Rocket Assisted Projectile unit. And when I went googling for this exact information a month or so ago I gave up after an hour and a half without ever finding this.

It's truly maddening how difficult it is to research OSINT sometimes.

EDIT: Re-read that closer and apparently the XM1113 was fired separately. I guess the Excalibur range was down entirely to the new "super" propellant charge and the 58 caliber barrel on the new gun. How much benefit came from each I can't say.

I've seen the future...
Latest count from the absolute clusterfuck of a river crossing is now at 91 confirmed, upwards of 150+ likely destroyed if the two/three company bridgehead force that managed to cross, was cut off by the crossing and destroyed in detail by hard-fought counterattacks is counted (see also quoted tweet):

Jesus, how many BTGs does that amount to roughly??

Into the Meat Grinder they go. Nothing more than cannon fodder they are.

2,336 KIA since the start of the conflict, according to the same BBC; if that's a meat grinder and the Russian Army is but cannon fodder, what does this say about the Ukrainian Government admitting their own losses are 2,500–3,000 killed in Mid-April? If you really want to talk about cannon fodder, let's talk about the Ukrainians sending teenagers into battle with just three days training in total.

Jesus, how many BTGs does that amount to roughly??

Not even one, and that's if we ignore the video evidence shows mostly vehicles using Ukrainian digital camo patterns lol.

I really hope this joke was on purpose, and that NEXTA didn't fall for something so dumb.

NEXTA is literally Belarussian opposition funded by Western sources; this isn't the first time they've been peddling dumb and obviously untrue shit since the war started. If you're looking to them for truthful and unbiased info, no wonder you did a complete 180 on the situation since February because your information sources are literally CIA fronts.

He did a 180 because he could see for himself that Russia was indeed getting ready to invade Ukraine based on actual evidence being posted, unlike all the people essentially sticking their fingers in their ears and claiming the media was just making it all up, right up until Russia actually invaded. And then they switched to saying the invasion was a good thing because Ukraine deserved it. But they have kept consistent on just ignoring any evidence in front of them about anything related to this conflict.

Weird how they can be so right but be so lacking in moral conviction for their views they can’t even use the @ function.
