I'm here with your periodic reminder that conspiracy against rights has the Death penalty as a potential punishment.
And if you think they’ll do it without The People holding a gun to their heads*, I’ve got a bridge to sell.I'm here with your periodic reminder that conspiracy against rights has the Death penalty as a potential punishment.
Nonproliferation died with Ghaddafi, after what happened to him, and to South Africa before that, and was buried by what happened to Ukraine. You know, it's wild how much positive foreign policy leverage countries can get out of nuclear--or just WMD capacity--not based on those weapons themselves, but based on leader personality.
So much of the benefit is utterly reliant on international poor perception and belief one might be so maniacal and crazy as to be willing to press the big red button--the hard-to-not-note parallal here being how Putin didn't invade Ukraine whilst Trump was President...
Putin is perceived by many as wild and crazy as to be also willing to go nuclear, and that analysis seems very shallow (credit to Putin, not being clear how rational he is is a great negotiating strategy--see below).
But beyond that whole hairball...That's a pretty negative incentive to encourage countries to select for. And it's what we do? Because if you go too maniacal and crazy the US/NATO is very clear they might Ghaddafi/Hussein your hind-end, but if you have the deterrent you're free to go maniacal and crazy, even encouraged, because...the deterrent is made actively more effective by that perception.
Not a great incentive for nonproliferation.

I think they've actually already discovered thisThen there must be research done into how to neutralize nukes.
The US has been working on ABM shield technology for decades. Then there must be research done into how to neutralize nukes.

Huh, so that’s why my house in PA was shaking a few hours back. Thought that’s what it was but nice to have it confirmed.Just found out an earthquake just struck NJ & NY St.
No I mean like fancy Sci fi technology. Some of the UFO stories floating around were about them shutting off nukes. I have often wondered if that story was real, if it was just us showing off or testing our fancy new technology.Plenty of ways.
But...what can you do?
Invade to take thier nukes?

This is how CBO Director Phill Swagel summarized it: "as a result of those changes in the labor force, we estimate that from 2023 to 2034, GDP will be greater by about $7 trillion and revenue will be greater by about $1 trillion than they would have been otherwise."
And there you have it: yes, the US hasn't added any jobs to native-born Americans in six years, as instead all jobs have gone to immigrants, mostly the illegal variety, but that's good news you see, because if it wasn't for these lovely creatures flooding into the US, wages would be higher (that's a bad thing according to the Fed), and the US economy would not grow by $9 trillion. Just please ignore that that $9 trillion in "growth" will come only thanks to $20 trillion in debt, almost all of it soaked up by these same illegals, and of course, a handful of corrupt, embezzling politicians.
