Russia-Ukraine War Politics Thread Mk. 2

killed or wounded? Sounds about right

60,000 KIA, rest wounded.
You really are determined to avoid all vaguely-credible reporting on how poorly the Russian military has been doing, aren't you?

4:1 is what a reasonably competent military might aspire to.

There's been a great wealth of reporting, a lot of it from Russians themselves, about how incredibly poor Russian medical aid has resulted in much higher mortality rates; Russian seriously wounded vs fatality rates are more like 3:1 or 2:1.

4:1 for what exactly?

"vaguely credible reporting"

lol

And yes, The casualty rates are immensely in favour of Russia. Thats why Ukraine needs what was it? 20,000 men a month to replace its losses? This is a war of artillery, rockets and drones, and Russia has an absolute advantage in all of them.

Do you happen to have this soundtrack playing in your room when you swallow the Kremlin propaganda whole? Then come to forums repeating them as gospel?

not nearly enough, triple the numbers and russia might be willing to give up.
Nah I’d say that’s enough to decide the war as it is.

As others have said, even if Russia keeps the land it has taken, this is no victory at all. The more pressing and dangerous matter of course is that stockpile of Cold War kit is dwindling. Human waves don’t matter when you have no armour to back them up.

Well the Ukrainians have lost the Battle of Avdiivka. They have begun a pull out of the city.
Yes.
Better to save your forces and move them out to a better defensible position then let them get surrounded and cut off.
Standard way to avoid losing forces en mass.

Took the Russian over 600 pieces of equipment and roughly 30k people to get this far.
Hell, the Ukrainians only lost roughly 60 pieces.
This is from visual evidence bit just random numbers of what people have said

You people are like a living version of that meme where the third place person is popping bottles and biting their medal even though they lost lmao
Your post reminds me of an ASOIAF fanfic discussion:
- "Stannis is the least handsome and charismatic of brothers Baratheon".
- "Yeah, and the last finisher in a Formula One race is a slow car."
What @Cherico said - 3rd best in the world is no loser.
