United States Texas shooting: Fifteen killed in attack on US Elementary School

You know, more and more I'm coming around to the idea schools should just have an armed security force. I've long been leery of it, public schools are already too much like little prisons in my opinion, but fuck, this evil shit needs to be ended and ended without infringing on the rights of tens of millions of law-abiding citizens rights.

So yeah, we should stop being reactive, and relying on calling the police whenever one of these mass shootings occurs. Instead, we should be proactive and stop waiting for some guys with guns to show up after a shooting starts, and already have guys with guns on location before a shooting begins.

On that point all doors expect a couple should be exit only fire doors with maybe one or two entrances with something like a airlock not a real airlock but a waiting area for sign ins etc before you actually can enter the main school. Also most schools have ids having electronic locks and keycards built into them. Replace all the class room doors with steel doors and I know some schools already have doors in hallways maybe have a button teachers can press to quarantine an area with the hallway doors.
It’s insanely easy for a random person to just walk around a school campus without ever having to sign in or anything.

"Twitter politics" pretty much explains the entire new wave of woke crypto socialist technocrats of the Democratic Party. They think twitter simping translates directly into votes.

CNN hard at work to milk the tragedy as hard as they can

"Oh you want to stop most abortion? Then why aren't you creating a 100% safe country and making sure every kid is always safe all the time?"
Because last election the Democrats proved that the police will not protect you during a riot so we have no choice but to protect ourselveves.

Protect and Serve my ass, they fled as soon as danger came up.

Meanwhile the Border Patrol dude refused to stand by, actually went ahead and stopped it. If it weren't for that we might be talking about a even bigger death toll.

Of course, mentioning how law enforcement was there and completely fucked up is inconvenient. Blame guns instead.

Don't forget about the campus police officer who dropped the ball.

Frankly this is why I believe in the right to fight. an an ounce of situational prevention is worth a ton of cure, and two tons of hindsight-prevention especially when the cure is either worthless (police), or worse essentially the biggest pro-euginics AND pro-abortion argument you can have if you think about it too long (preventing mental illness). A lot of stuff could have been pervented if just one brave teacher was allowed to shoot back or if that security guard bothered to do his job.

I wouldn't be so hard on the cops. They're not stone cold warriors like you'd see in movies. Usually if there is an incident, the cops have been called in and briefed on the situation. They've had time to mentally prepare for what could or probably will happen. A cop assigned to a school isn't in that mindset. Their day-to-day routine is standing by the door or sitting at their desk, occasionally questioning suspicious people/telling weirdos to take a hike, writing tickets for cars that remain in the parking lot without the right permit, and standing by the door or sitting at their desk. A sedentary lifestyle. A surprise attack where someone barges into school and starts shooting is frightening. As much as we glorify self-sacrifice, a person actually there is probably more concerned with finding cover and coming home to their family than stepping out into the open and exposing themselves to someone who just shot a bunch of people, and maybe shoot him first.

When on the first day on the job you get mace a stun gun a pistol a bullet proof vest a suped up car a loaded shotgun and a attack dog maybe you should expect some level of danger

I'm reminded of something my oldest daughter ( a police officer) said to a rookie officer. "This job is not for us to be "safe" , it's to serve and protect. It's try to keep all of them safe. If you can't or won't do that maybe you should work at Starbucks." She said this in response to the new officer making ALOT of comments about safety. Please keep in mind that my daughter takes her duty VERY seriously.

And I respect the cops that respect the social contract.

Yup, controlled entry points, sturdy class doors, and electronic key cards combined with an armed security team will massively reduce events like this at any school that implements it.

EDIT: Just read further down.

Those men shouldn't be police officers, I suppose most departments are scrapping the bottom of the barrel, I know a lot of police left the force following the summer of love, and many departments aren't having a lot of luck finding replacements. I have some serious doubts about the qualities of those remaining active-duty police officers.

Don't use more cops for the staffing.

Use the existing SROs, kitchen staff, and grounds keepers. Gives the cooks, lawnsmen and lunch attendants glocks and low-profile vests.

They already know the building and know what is out of the ordinary for a 'normal' day on campus.

Also Lunch Ladies and janitors tend to be more respected and feared by the student body than the security or the teachers because they're the ones who give the least fucks.

So they're far more apt to elicit a conditioned response from a alumnus turned shooter than say a cop would.

Anyone whose had the taste slapped out of their mouth with a wet towel by an irate lunch lady can testify to that :ROFLMAO:

Well now that news has broke that the police not only waited outside for around 20 minutes doing jack all, they actually pointed tasers at parents and even restrained one parent to prevent them from getting their children when they saw the police refuse to enter the building, I can't say I have any faith left that police still on the force following the Summer of Love are competent or effective.

EDIT: Oh, and apparently it was cool for a couple of the police officer to go in and specifically get their kids, but other parents got threatened or put into the dirt for trying to do the same.
