United States Texas shooting: Fifteen killed in attack on US Elementary School

Tiamat

I've seen the future...
After all the free publicity the media jackals gave to that POS shooter up in Buffalo? I had a bad feeling some sick bastard saw this and might have thought "Yeah, that's the ticket to fame, I'm gonna outdo him, hold my beer." At least they nailed him this time, just wish they'd gotten him sooner.

Can you separate evil people from people with mental health problems mental health problems don’t cause these attacks people that are mean and cruel and angry and have no self control cause these attacks. Look people can do horrible shit and have zero mental health problems stop lumping in evil people with people with real problems stop using that as a way to separate them from the general population and yourself. Ever human on this planet has the capacity for evil mental health issue or no but this immediate jumping to that conclusion and the lumping in that occurs is a problem why would anyone seek treatment if everyone thinks their a time bomb. It’s frustrating. It’s going to lead to popular support for limited freedoms for good people with problems

Bother..what are you talking about?

Schizos throw people under subway trains, rape homeless people and skin and eat them and other fucked up shit all the time.

the US has a mental health crisis...we're usually focused on the groomer aspect of it but the "randomly shoots a bunch of people" side exists to.

I am all too happy to segregate unmedicated schizos from everyone else and point at people with chemical imbalances that make them violent and go "I will watch you closer than I would watch another person, even when I know you're on meds" that's called common sense.

Granted this appears less like a lunatic and more like a gangster but..yeah.

From what I've heard from locals, Uvalde doesn't really have any true law enforcement IN the city. I think they've got a single Border Patrol agent.

Unconfirmed report: Agent was pursuing suspect after he killed his grandmother, and the suspect ran into the school.

So this thing being drug related looks more and more probable then...

Calm down nobody here is discriminating against those with mental illness or claiming they are all as evil as this man, but that being said the guy was allegedly trying to kill his own Grandmother and killed a bunch of kids in either the attempt or as an intentional act and it generally takes someone of mental problems to formulate that as being the proper response to a problem.

I personally have a relative with a mental illness so I understand if you feel defensive and it may be that the guy was just acting on impulse or did it for attention with no regard for outcomes but I feel the odds are low.

This isn't the time to stand on a soap box and proselytize about the plight of people who scream at walls though.

Do you know what kind of damage that kind of screwed up vile thinking does.
There are real people who suffer and your placing them in the same camp as these monsters. You ignorant un- empathic person.

Most people with mental illness are not violent and only 3%–5% of violent acts can be attributed to individuals living with a serious mental illness. In fact, people with severe mental illnesses are over 10 times more likely to be victims of violent crime than the general population.
