China Wuhan Virus Pandemic

So you don't count Houston or Dallas or Tampa or Orlando or El Paso or Jacksonville as 'major cities'?

Yeah, pull the other one in your defense of the lockdowns, that turned out to actually have done little to slow the virus, and destruction of our civil rights and liberties.

Republican cities?

Then again, you probably do think that Trump actually won all of those cities anyways.

I literally said States, not cities. He was brining up Other large cities

I do believe Trump won, and trust Politico about as far as I could throw a semi.

I will also point out environmental conditions impact the virus spread as well; to the virus did not like warm or humid climates, so cities farther north were going to see more cases than those in the sub-tropical areas.

National Review linked to an article on this, actually:

The author of the study, Nicholas Wade, is a guy who’s written for Nature magazine and the New York Times, i.e. he’s not someone the Left can go is just a crank. The theory in his study (and one he links to in his by another guy who was looking to debunk the lab theory and ended up convincing himself it was legit or at least quite possible) is that the Chinese researchers were using shitty bio safety protocols and this happened. As to why the virus was created, well, virologists have been coming up with plans to try and combat new potential threats before they emerge, and have done such brilliant things as recreating the 1918 flu virus that ravaged the world, among other bright ideas. When questioned about the dangers, their response was basically “Relax, we’re experts, we totally know what we are doing.”

Also, one interesting suggestion on why Fauci or his boss waived the restrictions on funding Gain of Function research is that U.S. intelligence wanted insight into China’s bio weapons programs, and this would enable them to get a window into Chinese capabilities.

I don’t think this was a deliberate act in setting it off, especially if the first casualties were indeed researchers at the WIV in fall of 2019. Even the Chinese aren’t dumb enough to intentionally put their experts at risk for a field test. But they are dumb enough to have a fuck up like this happen and refuse to tell anyone out of embarrassment.

Meanwhile, virologists around the world are panicking because their stunts of playing God have turned out to do little to combat a potential pandemic, but sure as hell managed to cause one. I would not be surprised if, when all is said and done, there’s a global ban on GOF research; it hasn’t done shit to help with COVID but it is very likely that GOF is what caused this.

No, the first tweet is from 2020. Which makes sense, because the height of 'debunking' the 'Wuhan Lab hoax' was about one year ago.

Also because Trump said it was probably a lab leak and of course anything he says can't be true, ergo they can't stand to admit he's right. Also because it never occurred to the press that the experts saying it's impossible have their own motives for covering up the fact that it is, in fact, quite possible. In fact the lead author of the initial "rebuttal" was Peter Daszak, he of the organization that received funding from NIH to perform GOF research and has close ties to the WIV. In fact, the letter Daszak authored in the Lancet specifically stated none of the signatories had any vested interest in the matter, which, as it turns out, was a blatant lie.

Don't know if he's going to get raked over the coals for this but from a professional standpoint he absolutely should. People complain about "nobody listens to experts" because the experts have repeatedly lied and not been punished, so people are ignoring them.

I think it was Nicholas Wade or the Russian guy he cited in his report (also worth a read, as that guy was determined to prove it wasn't a lab leak and ended up convincing himself otherwise when he actually did the deep dive) and basically concluded that the only real reason nobody wanted to admit it is because it would have meant admitting Trump was telling the truth and they refused to accept it solely because they don't like him.

I remember when I used to think Alex Jones was just a crank doing shit for ratings.

Unfortunately he turned out less crank, more prophet, and now the media is twisting itself in pretzels trying to forget they 'debunked' the lab hypothesis for months to hurt Trump.

He's not wrong; the Chinese disinfo campaign did a masterful job of getting a booming and secure US under Trump to implode in a matter of months, while also allowing their puppet Biden to cheat his way into power.

Well, to be fair the entire opposition party, the media, and big tech were all on board as it helped their own efforts to sabotage America to try and make the ruling party look bad and it gave them the perfect opportunity to rig the election.

It's like a bad version of synergy. 2 - 2 = -1
