Every director makes a bad movie sooner or later, every writer makes a turd, every one fucks up.
But if after 4 god damned years your still blaming other people, still angry and still in a fury about some thing you fucked up then you got a problem.
Really if he just kept his mouth shut we would have forgotten all of this.

I'm not even sure if it's right to entirely blame Paul Feig for how badly his Ghostbusters movie turned out; anyone with half a brain would have known not to hire him to direct for that particular franchise. His bread and butter is lowbrow, women-focused comedies that primarily make fun of men; and knowing that, it's not a surprise things turned out the way they did. His movie had more in common with his previous films such as Bridesmaids and The Heat, than the original Ghostbusters films; and seeing as that's what Sony Pictures apparently wanted, they have no one to blame for the result but themselves.

I can agree with you there, but pictures like the aforementioned one where Paul Feig is letting the actresses "step" on him and degrade him in some disgusting S&M submissive type behavior in public while he's all happy and smiling about it, is just....disgusting and sick.
There's something clearly wrong with that guy. And I don't know if it at all had to with how he was raised. I recall hearing that he was raised by his mother without a father and showed "feminine/feminist interests" that drew the wrath of other boys, make of that what you will.
What's even more disgusting is that there are some individuals (I won't call them women or men, it's an insult to the genders in themselves) who literally expect men to behave that way and lie down and be submissive to women since men are inherently evil and women always know better and are free to go on a complete power trip, etc. etc.
It's the unholy merging of the celebrity worship in Hollywood, turning select individuals into borderline deities like the Greek and Roman Gods, and the Leftist ideology that's created a whole spawn of these monsters we're seeing now. And it's all taking place in Hollywood where it's usually a bunch of twisted executives, producers, celebrities, etc. who are perfect imitations of how sick and disgusting Harvey Weinstein is/was by abusing and preying on women and young men, if not worse.

Most of the problems comes from his background. He should never have been given a big summer blockbuster. Before Ghostbusters Feig was doing 60 million dollar drity comdey movies like Bridesmaids. Which while funny had litte rewatch vaule for me.
But this was a remake of a classic flim which was a mistake off the bat. Sony should have learned from Jurassic World and how fans generally liked it.
Next was it was meant to launch an entire Universe. This means you do not pick a small time comedy director for a large action comedy. Just look at the mistakes he made with Slimer real or CGI effect problems.
Next is the budget. They planned on the moving needed to be a MCU or Disney billion dollar hit. But forgot that it was likely to be banned in China and that movies like Ghostbusters does not cross cultural boundaries very well.
Overall the movie was forgettable but not the worst thing ever. Which to me is one of the worst crimes a movie can make. It was not great and Jones was a walking stereotype, with lines that felt forced and jokes generally falling flat.
But Feig was the wrong pick despite his issues. Just going on his past record he never should have been picked as the director. Everything after was just a massive ball of failure with the ad campaign being icing on top.

Ghostbusters is a movie that should never be remade. I'm of the opinion that certain classics are so reliant on the skills and personalities of the specific actors involved that no remake of quality is really possible if those actors aren't available. Casa Blanca without Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman, Dooley Wilson, and Claude Rains just doesn't work, you can never recreate it with new actors. Ghostbusters was a unique blend with several comedy giants at the top of their game coming together and just hitting it off with the right chemistry to make a classic. It can't be duplicated. I think it's notable that the actual, successful spinoffs, like the SatAM The Real Ghostbusters and Extreme Ghostbusters cartoons, didn't try to ape the original but took the concept and ran with it in different directions.

They paint class problems as racial problems, made easier by particularly America's sordid history of interracial conflict. Promiscuity is advocated because it encourages the commodification of sex, and in fact wanton heterosexual sex since it's still the majority.
There is actually a conflict as of course you don't want to advertise with uggos. That's why the top 15% most attractive section of obese women is used to advertise plus sized clothing. Many tears were shed by the women they were trying to appease. Anyway, I think "ugly" women are just an excuse for game developers to be lazy since attractive humans are still used in the vast majority of media and this is a phenomenon that mostly appears in highly detailed 3D games. However it still works for pandering to type 1s, they donned the hypersexuality to be pandering trash, and they threw away the hypersexuality to remain pandering trash. They should keep doing it so I can see more horny losers bawl when localizers turn the dial from eight to seven point ninety nine.

It maybe sorta hypocritical of me, given I still live with my parents, but I gotta say, at least I’m not forcing myself onto other people or obsessing with joining stupid “movements” and being some “revolutionary”
Then again, the type of rich manchildren who do that stuff probably would look down on me for being satisfied with stuff that isn’t WOKE enough....these guys would probably prefer rioting, SJW college bullshit, “preaching”, drinking alcohol, having sex, driving cars etc than actually enjoying “nerd culture”
