Rooster Teeth Just Got SHUT DOWN Forever! Clownfish TV Was RIGHT?!

The salt from the rabid RWBY fans is delicious.

They helped kill the show and its parent company when they went full on woketard, especially with the Rainbow Tumour shipping shit, and now they're reaping the consequences.

Amusingly though, apparently RWBY is a hit in Japan, so if it's sold to a Japanese studio, they may reboot the entire thing from scratch or carry on with Icequeendom (which is going in its own direction after Volume 3 since the core show became a steaming pile of shite, apparently).

That would be good thing. For me,RWBY ended on 2th seazon,it would be better if Japan started from that.

Okay, let's take the long discussion about Christian morality and how it relates to gays to the philosophy section. Specifically here:

am I alone in feeling that the internet has ruined fandom and the enjoyment of everything? I joined a Marvel RPG proboards forum about 9 months ago and I've found myself enjoying and finding passion for Marvel and comics again when it's just me and this close circle of friends posting back and forth and shooting the bull about comics both past and present. (Feels very much like a throwback to the old internet of the late 90s and early 2000s.) I'm beginning to believe that much like what is said about women, "No one hates a nerd more than a rival nerd."

and if social media is ANYTHING it's a giant cage that stuffs all of these rival groups in the same room where there is little to no escape or reprieve.

If it's small, it's because you're interacting with real people and not botnets designed and deployed to destabilize online communities.
I can see leftist being a bunch of bots but even Alt-comic and Manga fans are proving to have their share of Insufferable fans. I legit lost interest in ISOM after the second issue and I found myself just wanted to read a good Luke Cage story (plus I got really burned out by all of the various COLLECTABLES Eric pushes, you'd think he was a cryptobro the way he pushes.) And yet say anything and there is a good chance that you'll be accused of being a hater SJW cuck and Anime and Manga fans have driven me from loving the medium to almost outright hating the medium.

I have a hard time buying that ALL of them are bots. I think you have a very loud vocal minority who sees everybody else as rivals. They are a niche democratic but it's hard to enjoy conversing in a public forum when they seem to butt in every chance they get

It's not just Twitter though YouTube movie Essayist on both sides of the isle for me has done to movies what twitter has done to comics. I think I'm just tired of these big public forums.

@KilroywasNOTHere No. I mean actual botnets, not NPC meme-ry. There are botnets of fake users deployed into online communities to destabilize their coherence and sense of community. It's the offensive side of sentiment analysis and online counterintel.

Not necessarily botnets. There's that, but also astroturfing and just hivemindery. I was big in the Zelda community from the late 90s/early 2000s and it was a collection of forums, none of which were greater than a few thousand, and we just talked about games, fantasy and shit like that. Never were there seriously heated debates (flame wars were mostly a solved problem by then) and people just discussed stuff they loved. Then reddit came along and everyone from these forums converged on r/zelda and it became a miserable place. Any opinion that didn't follow the marketing narrative at the time was downvoted, any idea that could be interpreted as not progressive became banned and it slowly evolved into just a circle jerk with any dissent being put down hard. I assume this is the case for all fandoms out there, and very few bots were required to get there.

Ironically I'm noticing it on both sides of the aisle now. Once an echo chamber gets established those that reside in it don't like it being disturbed. it's just gotten exhausting.

It definitely is both sides, everything is a culture battle now days and every medium of size has an army of assholes on both sides wanting to win the battle for their side.

What? From what I've heard everyone there has been seeing the writing on the wall for years.

It's a Fullmetal Alchemist reference. As well as referencing at how arrogant RT's upper management was/is; given that this had been going on for years but they never made serious changes that could have fixed it. As well as taking a jab at leftist arrogance, which comes through in the writing of their later works.

Eh, I don't think they were talented enough to fix it.

The reality was that RT existed at a very particular time period where indie animation wasn't as rare and was much less competitive. RWBY made sense as a free series made on a tight budget by very talented people. Pretty much the same with Red vs Blue.

But trying to turn Rooster Teeth into a streaming service, making higher budget shows, etc. was always a dumb idea that wasn't going to work.
