CA Governor Gavin Newsom (D) said that the Golden State is facing a $38 billion budget shortfall. However, the nonpartisan Legislative Analyst's Office now puts that number closer towards $73 billion according to the Sacramento Bee.

The gall that Newsom, who had inherited a budget surplus from Moonbeam back in 2019 & only to squander the budget surplus within 5 years.
