LA Governor Jeff Landry (R) threatening scholarships after LSU Women's Basketball Team missed the Naitonal Anthem before their loss to Iowa
I've heard that is was an accident on LSUs part because they had gone into the locker room pregame.
I believe LSUs coach has stated this publicly.

I don't think there's ANY reason that suspension of scholarships is even warranted UNLESS the university sports dept stated that all teams must be present for the national anthem.

Even if that's the case, mistakes happen. If this was an honest one, toss a warning at the coaches, but don't punish the students.

It appears Landry will be upping the ante from here on out. He was on Fox News earlier today, basically telling the players if they don't stand for the National Anthem, then don't play the sport period.

Looking Back: Inaugurations in History of FL Governors: Bob Graham (January 2nd, 1979)
2024 VT Governorship: Waiting Game continues

The waiting game from VT Governor Phil Scott (R) continues on whether or not he'll seek reelection to 5th 2-year term in 2024. Scott was supposed to make an announcement on his political future in April. It's now May 1st.

Will Scott pull the trigger & seek reelection despite speculation about former VT Governor Howard Dean (D) potentially running for his old job ?
A.) Yes
B.) No
C.) Too Soon To Tell.

If he said he'd make an announcement by now and hasn't then I imagine he's having serious doubts about running again.
Considering Scott was expected to announce his political future in April. Plus, he's one of the most popular US State/Territory Governors ever & had been expected to seek reelection to 5th 2-year term.
