Spectrum News reporting NY St Governor Kathy Hochul (D) announced she's seeking reelection to 2nd full 4-year term in 2026. Sounds like the Hochul vs Zeldin rematch might be happening again!

I'm not all that familiar with NY Dem internal politics but I do recall that she badly underperformed last time. I wonder what the chances are that she gets primaried.

Doubtful unless Cuomo wants his old job back. He's also considering running for NYC Mayor in 2025 IF Adams doesn't seek reelection due to federal indictments on corruption scandals, etc.,

I had the impression Cuomo was irrecoverably on the outs. Maybe not to the point that he can't even mount a campaign, but to the point that he can't win NY city or state. But like I said, not that familiar.

The Nursing Home Scandal all but destroyed his political career. Cuomo NEVER should've issued that stupid executive order sending 15,000 New Yorkers to their deaths at those nursing homes.
