Trump Investigations Thread

the funny thing, Trump was arguably one of the better presidents we had in the last 30 years.

No new wars, some pretty good trade deals and some other good stuff as well, the fact that he got so demonized and things were mostly ok really fucked up peoples trust in the media.
Yes, there were no new wars, but the man had White House chefs bring him two scoops of ice cream instead of one just to flex on guests.
Clearly top five worst President ever behavior, that.

Donald 'Von ShitzInPantz' has now formally been entered into the public record at Trump's hush-money trial!!!

No I'm not making this up somehow it actually happened.
Do you want to know how ... because Trump's own lawyers brought it up?
(The term "Self-Own" is woefully inadequate here)

they brought it up specifically because the convicted perjurer Michael Cohen keeps shit talking Trump on every podcast and TV slot he can get on. unfortunately because of the unconstitutional gag order on Trump he is not allowed to respond. His council is bringing up that the witness is making public attacks on Trump that he cannot respond to and entering it into the record.

I know you're clarifying for actual people, but we really can't expect any level of skill or understanding at context or nuance from the TDS-afflicted.

Or possibly its just funny?

(And illustrates just how ridiculous the situation really is)
but it isn't really. calling Biden von Shitzinpantz because he actually shat his pants while meeting with the pope would be one thing. this isn't really witty or tying to anything trump did or even his physical traits. an 11 year old schoolyard bully could heckle better than this. I blame the lack of education on how to bully for maximum trauma and emotional damage.

we could have it run by some asian parents. maybe include some videos of Slavs of different nations arguing about soccer or something. we can workshop this.

Except the news is claiming he's farted multiple times in the court room and this likely the origin.

Ok funny but shit like this does ruin individual careers and Jack Smith is likely to be asked to retire after the election no matter who wins because god damned.
I hope that you're right but just lol.

People keep getting away with all this shit. Until it changes, I have no reason to believe he will face any consequences.

And btw "being asked to retire" is a laughable "punishment."

Honestly, the Jack Smith one is less concerning to me than the NYC trial. It's an NYC jury. Objectively speaking, there's holes in the case. But will NYC jurors ignore those holes because they think he's guilty anyway? And next week (specifically Tuesday) is when closing arguments are set for. I think that SCOTUS could handle this via a specific finding of immunity, or if Trump wins, his appointment to Attorney General dismisses the cases.

The really ugly thing? The best Trump can get is a mistrial. And then Bragg will just retry him over and over again until he gets the "right" jury. And it's not pardonable by a president either. It's a shit situation. Honestly, the best outcome might actually be a conviction and a sentence of fines instead of jail time.

From how I see it, they are solely relying on TDS and Trump hatred to win them tje case and get him sentenced.

From what people in thr court room have said is the jury looks bored and just done and do not believe the prosecution. Thinking the closing argument may try and make it seem like it is thier duty to jail this man, for things NOT related to the case

Even with a conviction, there are still appeals.
