Truckers not bringing in supplies and goods for NYC? Businesses basically fleeing? Yeah, NYC is going to become a second Detroit. The city has so many empty offices and spaces already (seriously, go on YouTube and search: You have people wandering even the main streets/highways and all they encounter are closed businesses/empty shop areas).

New Amsterdam > New York > New Detroit.

Fifty years hence, they'll have to rename it New Mogadishu.

They better stay the fuck out of Florida.

I dont want more of that carpet bagging trash infesting my state with their shit politics thinking they're gonna up lift us and make us more cosmopolitan

Fuck the entire New England Region for the damage they've done to Miami. The only places you can't find commies in Che Shirts now are cigar lounges and hipsters are starting to try and infest those too.

Hey feel free to beat the crap out of them for me. I’m from Pennsylvania and I hate them too.

I doubt this will work though, because those shipping company owners aren't just going to shrug their shoulders, they're going to fire people over it, and most people are going to want to keep their jobs.

There's a chronic shortage of truckers in the first place, and a number of truckers are independent owner/operators on top of that.

Whether something like this takes off will depend far more on how many truckers care to put their lot in, than what the shipping companies can do about it. It'd take a pretty substantial proportion as well, because if just 5-20% refuse, it simply results in shuffling the job schedule, not large numbers of orders not being delivered.

Even if it just makes shipping to NYC noticeably more expensive, that'll seriously change some people's worldviews.

These are independent truckers who choose which jobs to take, refusing to take ones shipping NY.

They'll just take other jobs. There's no one to fire them.

They'll have privately employed truckers pick up the slack, but it will cause some issues if it gets big enough.

Truckers are refusing to take loads to NYC after the bullshit ruling against Trump.
I've heard that kind of thing before, and don't remember it amounting to much. I recommend that y'all temper your expectations. As for me, I'll believe it when I hear about the effects of it being done, not about people saying it's totally happening.

More issues with Fani Willis, but not disqualification viable:

Also, importantly, what happens if Willis is DQ'd?

A short summary because of paywall. First, the entire DA's office of Fulton County get's DQ'd as well, including the special prosecutor. Then it's up to a guy called Pete Skandalakis, who's a Republican and in charge of the Prosecuting Attorney's Council of Georgia, to choose a replacement. He's a Republican. My guess is that he'll slow walk the naming of a replacement, just like he's done for the other major political case Fani Willis was kicked off of (no new prosecutor has been named since July 2022).

Note that he can appoint himself, and just dismiss the charges.
