The 14th Amendment Section 3 text doesn't limit its scope to just those who participated on the Confederate side of the Civil War.

As you said: it's untested and untried. It'll have to be litigated.

The problem with this is if you play by bannana republic rules sooner or later the other side does as well, and that isn't somethign that ends well for the left.

Counterpoint: if someone inelligible - for whatever reason - somehow gets on the ballot they should be removed from the ballot before the election because leaving them on the ballot leads to shenanigans.

And that's the point of contention: They're trying to illegally make their opponent ineligible so his name is removed. Illegally... which goes back to Banana Republic shenanigans.

Their going to be replaced, this process has already started chenys daughter? She's out, as were quite a few others, this process isn't any where near over of course and has only gotten started but the more aggressively assholish the left is to the right, the most establishment types either turn on the left for the sake of self preservation or get replaced by people who are motivated deal with the issue.

Ironically efforts to cuck to the left just speed up this process because the left doesn't really do mercy and will kick any one who bends the knee for shits and giggles. Which means you get fewer and fewer people willing to bend the knee in the future.

If you say that isn't happening...that process to has just started.

These tactics mixed with the left establishments gross incopetance has one long term ending and its not going to be a nice one for the left at all.

You keep saying that they’ll be replaced and that those replacements will make a difference.

Fact is, I’ve yet to see any proof that they’ll let themselves be replaced or that the replacements won’t be any better. I haven’t noticed any improvements from the ones that have been gotten rid of so far.
