I sure hope the cameras in the jail don't suddenly stop working and by a incredible coincidence Trump just happens to get a sudden bout of guilt for his non-existent crimes and decides to hang himself at the exact time that it wasn't recorded.
It seems to happen a improbable amount to people the elites really hate/want to silence. Odd that.
I can't even imagine what hell would be unleashed if they Epsteined Trump.
In the short term, basically nothing. I think Jan 6th and the rest of the events during the Trump presidency has given the Republicans the death nell of political power: they've shown the Republicans are harmless.
Power flows out of the barrel of a gun. Representative democracy I think primarily works on the method of a census of the guns: see who has enough popular support to raise enough guns to have political power, and then skip the civil war. Voting however only has the power it does to the extent it does serve as a proxy for who has the guns and thus needs to be accommodated. Several British kings found out the hard way that Parliament really did represent the will of the people (willing to take up arms) and lost there heads. The Roman Empires and most other successful military dictatorships found out the people (willing to take up arms) were not with the Senate/parliament, and "democracy" in those places was thus a joke.
I fear the US is now much more in the later category compared to the former. The right has guns, but its shown absolutely no will to use them. And thus, the counting of rifles in elections don't actually matter, and you can ignore the voters/people entirely, because practically there's no bullet to back up the ballot. You can thus be as anti democratic as you want, and there are no consequences.
Because power flows from a barrel of a gun, which the Right has no will or ability to use.
