Trump Investigations Thread

So, something I've been noticing across soc-med is that support for Trump is actually growing again.

The usual TDS posts, instead of being given completely mindless reinforcement like in the past (and are, amusingly, often done by non-Americans), are basically devolving into discussions and anti-shit flinging now.

Looks like a term under Biden and the Democrats have changed people's perceptions, lol.

People now have experience with both and can judge accordingly.

If true Trump once again has managed to shit-talk his enemies into losing what little brains they have.

It's not breaking. It's derived from a June 8th Guardian article:

That's also the day Trump and Nauta were indicted by a Grand Jury.

The tweet is misrepresenting something which ain't changing jack or shit about the course of the case.

If you read the "report" referenced it's pure speculation based on rumour. Full of "if true" "could mean" and other mealy mouthed weasel words. It's nothing more than clickbait preying on delusion.

Thank you. For whatever reason the image is working for me. I just don't get the applicability of it. I don't understand what qualifications in particular I'm supposed to be lacking that are relevant. The post it was responding to didn't need anything more than basic reading comprehension, and I don't see what qualifications are supposed to be necessary to form an opinion or analysis of the tweet or the article that inspired it.

I'll leave that to you two to sort out. His post was just blank for me. I had to edit and turn off WYSIWYG editor and grab the link

Given the level of intimidation leveled against legal teams involved with Trump, he might not have been able to get better.
I think the way trump treats his legal team and the way he behaves around judicial proceedings play a much larger part. Quiet a few for example were not happy to see him throw Cohen under the bus, the way his clique egged on "the kraken" and then cut her loose and tried to distance themselves, or the way he mislead his lawyers into signing false affidavits in this very case.

His idea of what makes a "good" lawyer is Roy Cohn, a liar who was disbarred for trying to force a dying client to alter their will to leave him their fortune. Most lawyers these days simply aren't willing to sink to the level trump operates at and demands of them, and even less willing to be involved in the clique politicking and infighting everyone in his orbit is invariably drawn into.

@Megadeath said it better than I could. He did leave out two lawyers in trouble (facing disbarment) for what they did while working for Trump related to the 2020 election: John Eastman and L. Lin Wood.

Trump also has a long history of not paying his lawyers. I'm guessing this gal is getting enough up front to comfortably retire if she does get disbarred for something related to this case.

Trump's team wholly divorced themselves from Powel's bullshit, the only people "egging it on" were political commentators(idiots) and news media(bigger idiots).
Ah, so you agree with the bit about them distancing themselves from her, but not the egging her on part? I actually assumed you'd mean the other way round.

Well, "egged on" could be an exaggeration but listing her as part of the legal team, inviting her to speak at events and defending her when Tucker Carlson disagreed with her claims certainly seem to be showing support for her and team trump did all that and more before realising she was nuts and distancing themselves.
