Actually storing it so you can use it as a fuel is a bitch-and-a-half. Liquid hydrogen boils at -423°F and leaks through goddamn fucking everything.
It however also means spending a bunch of energy to liberate the H2, before converting it to more energy itself in the fuel cell, which is not very efficient.
