I want a peaceful national divorce instead, but yes, no civil war please. War fucking sucks, and I hate it when people pretend it doesn't.
No.
I didn't fight to keep this country safe only to see it break apart. It's all I'll say on that.
I want a peaceful national divorce instead, but yes, no civil war please. War fucking sucks, and I hate it when people pretend it doesn't.
That's what sanity demands and what an optimistic outcome would be.For all you guys saying you want a Civil War...you have zero idea what you are asking for. If you've seen War in any capacity then you never want to see it again. Unless you're a psychopath and just simply don't care. So long as you get to kill your enemies.
The sheer destruction this would do to us as a Nation and a people is beyond what you can comprehend. There is no coming back from that a second time and we barely recovered from it once. And it's still had effects on us nearly a 150 years later.
No. I don't want that. I want this to end with with a Convention of States that sees the Federal Governments encroachment on our rights curbed and not a war that rips us apart and leaves us vulnerable to our enemies. Cause like it or not, we have many of them. Probably more now thanks to Joey Bag of Donuts and the NeoLib/NeoCon Alliance.
Honestly the more I listen to them, I think they want a war.The establishment seems dead set though on playing a game of Civil War chicken; under the assumption that the people will submit, out of a desire to avoid such a conflict.
They do, and they're (overly) confident that they'll win one handily, as well as being on the "right side of history".Honestly the more I listen to them, I think they want a war.
Nobody sane wants a civil war.For all you guys saying you want a Civil War...you have zero idea what you are asking for. If you've seen War in any capacity then you never want to see it again. Unless you're a psychopath and just simply don't care. So long as you get to kill your enemies.

I'm not quite to the national divorce stage. I'd much prefer a nation where the states are greater standing than the Fed in our lives.I want a peaceful national divorce instead, but yes, no civil war please. War fucking sucks, and I hate it when people pretend it doesn't.

I don't think so; I think they just expect to be able to bully everyone into submission indefinitely. They do, and they're (overly) confident that they'll win one handily, as well as being on the "right side of history".
They see such a conflict as being part of the submission strategy, though. They honestly believe they'd win such a civil war hands down. Remember, these people are completely divorced from reality.I don't think so; I think they just expect to be able to bully everyone into submission indefinitely.
I don't doubt that they think they'd win, but I also expect that they believe it'd never come to that; on account of us being, in their eyes, too cowardly, complacent, and weak to be willing to fight. They see such a conflict as being part of the submission strategy, though. As I said; divorced from reality. shrug Don't try to apply common sense and logic to these people's thinking.I don't doubt that they think they'd win, but I also expect that they believe it'd never come to that; on account of us being, in their eyes, too cowardly, complacent, and weak to be willing to fight.

Unfortunately, you have to remember that the Other Guy gets a vote too, and they seem to be dead set on creating such a conflict.
You can be against it all you want, but if the Other Guy pulls the trigger, you haven't much of a choice. And it looks like Biden, the Establishment, and all the Lefty parasites out there in your country are dead set on pulling the trigger.

Biden stated he is actually totally for fixing the border but is being blocked by the conservatives. And that the "real solution" is to pass a bill that gives him more powers. He gave them 24 hours. Anything happening?
So the senile old pedophile is trying to pull a Palpatine/Sidious?Biden stated he is actually totally for fixing the border but is being blocked by the conservatives. And that the "real solution" is to pass a bill that gives him more powers.
No, I know very well exactly what I am asking for.For all you guys saying you want a Civil War...you have zero idea what you are asking for.
If the choice is between a few years of horror where there is a good chance I will die, but if I survive I will be free for the rest of my life.I have in fact spoken to such people. I am well aware that it is awful.
But you also described how awful things are right now
What you describe is just the tip of the iceberg. And I don't want the entire rest of my life to be this. And it is just getting worse and worse every year.
I am willing to accept a few years of horror of civil war if it means ousting the blood sucking parasites who have done this to us so we can start healing.
I am willing to accept that I might die too. But what I have right now cannot be considered living.
So the senile old pedophile is trying to pull a Palpatine/Sidious?
Pretty much, yes. Though I feel comparing Biden to Sidious is a bit of an insult to Sidious. So the senile old pedophile is trying to pull a Palpatine/Sidious?
@Spartan303 served, so he knows what hell war is on a personal level. He fought for America, and he doesn't want to see even an inkling of the shit he saw happen on America's streets. No, I know very well exactly what I am asking for.
If the choice is between a few years of horror where there is a good chance I will die, but if I survive I will be free for the rest of my life.
Vs living the rest of my life as a slave in abject misery out of excessive fear... then I will take the riskier approach.
Man, Lucas' original Star Wars treatment (9+ films) was wild.Pretty much, yes. Though I feel comparing Biden to Sidious is a bit of an insult to Sidious.
The guy might have been a mass murdering, tyrannical evil space wizard but he was at least intentionally doing so and was (unfortunately) somewhat competent about it. Plus, not an (almost certainly) pedo.
Where as Biden…well, he’s clearly got dementia and is more or less a puppet for people who want to bring down the USA and the West.
Which actually makes him closer to how Palpatine was originally envisioned as being a political puppet controlled by people like Tarkin and Vader and generally didn’t really know what was really going on. Though in that case it was due to being fed false information and not dementia.
It really was. And it’s kind of astonishing how prescient he was about some stuff. I really do think that, had the prequels been handled better, people would have woken up to a lot of what we’ve been realizing over the past few years sooner.Man, Lucas' original Star Wars treatment (9+ films) was wild.
