Seeing my man Kadaan get talked about in this thread, reminds me of the fact that he would have been a perfect villain for the sequel trilogy, especially given his pragmatic approach to the force and the fact that he was actually capable of being an alluring alternative to Luke.

How is Lucas regaining control going to make it worse than allowing KK to remain in any capacity?
I get some people were doubtful about Lucas back in the day, but come on.
It's not that I doubt him, I just fear his work will be recieved like the PT did.
The PT, for all the shit it got, is much more fondly remembered now.
People can shittalk and joke about the PT without triggering SJWs, not so with most of the modern films.

Frankly, Chinningis and/or Koblai in charge of the Galactic Empire is a imagine so beautiful it brings a tear to my eye. When you have 1/3rd the pop of Asia as your direct descendants 800 years or so later, you can honestly say you have won at life.
Personally, I would have served the Khans without reservation. They cared not for who you worshiped or what laws you enacted, so long as you paid tribute to the Khan and did not assist his enemies.
Enlightened in a way few have been before or since.

If I get more worked up about it I'll probably start one, I just wanted to smack talk whatever idiot thought wasting four of the last episodes of the series on a pair of throwaway characters that really deserve a Darwin award was a good idea.
