Russian Invasion of Ukraine 2022

Interesting drone video of storming a trench system, Ukrainian troops were initially caught unaware, the first soldier was cut down completely surprised and the guy engaging to the front was oblivious to the danger to his left, until his colleague coming from the shelter spotted the attackers, killed the point guy and fled, leaving his buddy pinned down, with no way out. He must have been hit by shrapnel in the hand grenade exchange as he can be seen gradually collapsing, he still has power to throw away the first grenade landing in his lap, but not the next one.

One has to wonder how many times such scenarios played out through the Donbass grind and how many times were the defenders simply obliterated by incessant artillery fire. The thermobaric weapons being especially efficient at this job

And it looks like 79th pulled out of Liman, most likely retreating over the river, perhaps leaving behind some rearguards to delay Russian advance through forest.

The shortest US "basic training" is the Navy's 8-week RTC. Someone 39-years old can volunteer for that and Seaman Recruit Smith will know how to do damage control before he or she is Seaman Apprentence Mess Specialist Smith.

As we wait for confirmation on this, that reminds me.

Remember that first Su-35 that was reported as shot down, complete with videos and pictures of the crash but that expert posters here proved was fake because a flat spin crash was impossible?

Apparently now the NATO Nazi Propagandists are Still Pushing this Bullshit Story.

Express UK said:
Ukrainian troops shot down the Sukhoi Su-35S using short-range missiles two weeks ago. Specialists with the Ukrainian Air Force were able to retrieve vital and hitherto classified elements from its burnt-out remains and informed British intelligence.

The systems were transported to the Government’s Defence, Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL) at Porton Down, in Wiltshire, where boffins, joined by two experts from the US Air Force, have spent ten days examining them.

The initial assessment was deemed so promising that the systems have now been flown to Nevada, USA, for more forensic examination.

Dubbed “Flanker” by Nato, the fighter jet was conducting a so-called Suppression of Enemy Air Defences (SEAD) operation when it was unexpectedly shot down near Izium, some 75 miles from Kharkiv, in eastern Ukraine on April 3.
Its pilot was captured after safely ejecting.

LOL... literally just making up this story about a plane that never crashed. What are they hoping to gain by spinning up these massive lies like this? And they are still parroting the lie that they captured the pilot as well... lol. Crisis Actor prolly.

At best this was just another of the half dozen Su-30's that crashed. And loads of those were lost. Stupid ass Ukrainian and RAF and USAF "experts" can't even tell the two apart even when engaging in forensic analysis of the aircraft components in Britain and America. LMFAO!

Russia Recently Unveiled a Statue Dedicated in Mariupol to an Elderly Ukrainian Woman known as 'Grandmother Ivanov' who went viral in Russian Media for Reportedly Greetings Ukrainian Troops with a Soviet Flag back in April and Refusing a Food Kit Offered by the Ukrainian Forces.

The actual story is apparently more complicated though in short, it's a story of a 69 year old Woman who simply longs for the good ol' days of the Soviet Union, waved the Soviet flag thinking the approaching troops were Russian, loathes the ongoing War and is dependent wholly on food aid delivered by the Ukrainian Military and Volunteers while living in a situation her Husband describes as a "Living Hell." Needless to say, she is not a fan of being used as a Propaganda Mascot by the Russian Invaders. From the Wall Street Journal.

Wall Street Journal said:
For Ms. Ivanova, whose house lost its roof and windows to Russian shelling in March, and who speaks Ukrainian as her mother tongue, this newfound fame in Russia is bewildering and unwelcome, she says. Her real-life story is far more complex than the tale multiplied by Russian propaganda. It is steeped in the tragedies wrought by this conflict—and by the huge social toll of the Soviet Union’s collapse.

“I wish I could call Putin and tell him: Why was it impossible to solve this question without war, so neither their boys nor ours would have to die? It’s a huge calamity, for Ukraine and for Russia,” Ms. Ivanova said in her garden as artillery exchanges between Ukrainian and Russian forces raged just a few miles away, interrupting the conversation. “What have we, Ukraine, done to Russia so they have to kill us? Russia started it. Ukraine didn’t touch them.”

Much younger than her portrayal in Russia and not an actual grandmother, Ms. Ivanova is only 69—the same age as Mr. Putin, who is touted by Moscow’s state media for his strength and virility. She lives with her husband, Ivan Ivanov, a native of Russia’s nearby Belgorod region, in a dilapidated home that hasn’t had any electricity or TV signal since Russian armored columns raced toward Kharkiv on Feb. 24.

Because Ms. Ivanova is unable to charge her phone, she is only vaguely aware of the course of the war. Hardly any of her neighbors remain in the village, which was on the front line until Ukrainian advances cleared a belt north of Kharkiv, the country’s second-largest city, in early May. Some of those who haven’t left no longer speak with her.

Ms. Ivanova’s life story reads like a heart-rending list of catastrophes that began with the Soviet Union’s collapse in 1991. For many Ukrainians, especially in the big cities, independence meant newfound freedoms and opportunities. But for a working-class woman like Ms. Ivanova, a former grain-elevator employee, the reality of independent Ukraine turned out far less promising.

Strange. They have a lot of reservists, and at least those who was in army 5 years ago still should remember how to fight. They could have more then million soldiers, and with them taking entire Doneck would be easy thing.
So...why do not simply mobilize ? Putin do not need to fear of next elections, becouse people votes mean nothing there.

Unless...other KGB dudes would kill and replace him if he look weak, and making mobilization could be considered as such.

Anyway,ii do not undarstandt that war.I like Ukraine, but Moscov should defeat them long ago.Are they really that dump? KGB should be smart,RIGHT?

a) Logistics. They are barely supplying the troops they have. If they grab a million young men from civilian economy and throw them into the military, they are going to struggle with basic stuff like field rations, nevermind fancy equipment like air support, modern armor and so on.
b) They don't want hordes of random men with access to guns crowding around the logistical hubs of western Russia, like... Moscow, they could get ideas, as they would be kinda pissed off because they do not want to be there. If they wanted to be there Russia would not be struggling with finding volunteers for reinforcements.

People thought Russian military is more immune from corruption than the rest of their country.
Perhaps the same misgiving applies to the KGB?

Thanks, that logical explanations, and probably true.If they have problems with logistic for 200.000 people, sending million soldiers would not help with that.
Althought...maybe really there are underground cities full of invicible soviet apemans waiting for RIGHT HOUR to strike !
