I still think that it's unlikely to actually come to fruition, but who knows, right? If Ukraine is really desperate and it looks like all of Ukraine will get conquered by Russia, well, this might be Ukraine's Samson Option.

And to make it even better, the machine was lost not because the Russians destroyed it, but because the Ukrainians decided to have regulanim safe firing where the crews of British line cruisers during WWI also had it.

Yup. Stupid disarmament treaties like that are a disgrace, and every western politician pushing for these should be called a traitor. It's a great thing that they are being made a mockery of.
Meanwhile, Russia didn't sign it, and uses exactly the same model, including in Ukraine.
For the record, Ukraine signed this treaty in 1999, under a government not exactly thinking of fighting Russia :D

They probably won't see the end of the war there, but they can definitely go out doing what they were meant to do, blasting the fuck out of Russian tank columns and artillery units.
