True.
But what does he have ti lose? His head?
Nah, I think finally being free to let loose without caring about 'electability' in the Leftist circles anymore.

France doesn't have the same naive view points as US isolationists, and Poland has Konigsberg right there under Russian occupation. France and Poland are teaming up over the objections of Germany, and with the UK abiding it, while now the Swede's and Finn's are onboard, Romania is having to monitor Moldova closely because of Transnistria, and teh Greeks and Turks are still trying to play both sides to a degree because of the situation in the Med.

Macron continues to show the old French spirit isn't dead, and Russia is a foe France has dealt with before. France is also a country Russia has a harder time psy-oping than the US, because of the innate haughtiness of French culture.

I personally wish France would reclaim Haiti and just formally retake control lost during the slave revolt, it would help things over here a lot. Plus France would actually enforce earthquake building codes.

This is from Medvedev's mouth, these are Russia's demands, and it is not some 'tiny slice', and is completely detached from reality. This is why negotiating with Putin's Russia is farce in this conflict.

@Rocinante, @Terthna, @mrttao I tried to tell you, do you believe me now, now that Medvedev himself is saying it?

We owe @Zachowon a lot for actually calling shit out for us as early as he did, and @Marduk from being able to dissect the Russian psy-ops so well.

This is how peace talks and negotiations work.

You make a demand, they make a demand, you work out a compromise somewhere in the middle.

Or you remove the people making the demands, and do so until conditions acceptable to you are found in the new leadership.

Edit: Also, Moldova about to remove a huge blackmail point from Transnistria's control.

When one side's opening position is "You completely surrender, plus pay for the privilege of having been invaded by us," it's abundantly clear that they're either not interested in compromise, or they're looking to compromise to things that are still utterly unreasonable.

And let's not forget what's less prominent - there's also a couple demands towards the UN and "international community" rather than just Ukraine.
It's almost as if they think it's 1950, they are the Soviet Union and can act as one of the two superpowers who has more divisions in Europe.

With normal states.KGBstan never would be normal, for them Ukraina do not exist.

Back to neosoviet politic - i read many articles about Navalny murder, some belived that he would be different,other/including me/ not - but,it is part of kgb politc.

As long as Navalny lived,he was alternative for Putin - somebody could remove our colonel and replace him. Now,it is no longer possible - it was sign for West - you must talk with me,or country would fall.

About Medwiediew - he want conqer Ukraine now,but if USA keep sending old stuff there,it would be impossible. So, i think that if comrade Putin do not manage to kill his country,we would have Korean situation - fortiofied border without war.

P.S You seems as mistaken as Tucker Carlson, when he treated Putin as rational player, when he is either psycho or chineese spy.
And forget, that smaller states had right to independent politic, too.

Guess what? Thats how it works in war. First you get the easy terms and as time goes on those terms get worse and worse. Ukraine rejected the early terms. Now they get worse and worse.

Now lets compare this to the terms for russia, which calls for the complete withdrawal of all russian forces from territory claimed by ukraine, the russian leadership being put on trial and the transfer of control of russia's energy sector to western interests.

What Russia? it died long ago.And kgbstan started war with exactly the same terms - and, they belived that they would win in week. All becouse they are psycho kids, who do not like fact that ukrainian nation arleady exist, and behave as if they do not exist.
Which was true - but 150 years ago.

Adults speak about what exist now,not what has been 150 years ago.
