No, much of the US already felt that way about Putin and Russia after 2014. As well, the massacres like Bucha do matter to the western populace.
And for realpolitik, a lot of the west feels betrayed because we gave Russia a chance to unfuck itself and join the civilized world after the Berlin Wall fell, and instead they've done this. MH17 matters, too, and you notice the Netherlands have been backing Ukraine to the hilt.
MH17 actually is really what started to sour the west on Putin, once he began to shield his rebels from the consequences of that shootdown.

But that is not why the NPCs hate him. They hate him solely because TV told them he is the devil.
Also glass houses and all that. the western oligarchs are constantly killing political opponents and jailing dissidents.
we throw way more people in jail for wrong think on social media than russia does.

Again, no, Putin is hated in the west for a lot of reasons; remember the nerve gas poison assassination attempt in the UK a few years back.
Where as the Tard-Right NPCs like you seem to go out of their way to polish Putin and Russia's knob.

Or parents who try to speak out against child grooming.
Multiple cases of parents being arrested for just speaking out against those books in front of a school board.
others being declared domestic terrorists and both harassed by the FBI and also put on lists forbidding their movements and limiting their employment.
The main difference really is that in USA the big prison sentences are usually for those who leave their home to protest, so long as your wrongthing is confined to online posts only, you will most likely just get shadowbanned or possibly cancelled (and thus become homeless). Unless your message reaches far enough in which case they will come up with some trumped up excuses to throw you in prison. Or even just assassinate you.
While in every other western countries they will jail you for wrongthink posts online. Far more than they jail in russia or china for wrongthink social media posts. (IIRC in UK there is 5x more people being jailed for social media posts than in russia)
But to claim that USA has free speech right now is ridiculous.

And that ukrainian army would just throw their weapons - which was true in 2014.

And now,USA send old stuff to Ukraine becouse it is Realpolitik - Russia which bleed there could not support China against USA,and they always could gave them ukrainians if they agree to change sides.

A Russian video just surfaced of troops complaining their brand new shells aren't exploding. They opened the shells and it was missing the TNT payload. The entire shipment were new and all empty lol. The soldier's tirade sounded exactly like Prigozhin swearing at Gerasimov

Honestly putin's biggest fuckup in this war was not siding with Prigozhin and using him to oust Gerasimov and instead making Prigozhin his new minister of defense.
Wagner, under Prigozhin were the only competent force Putin had.
And the other oligarchs were so butthurt at it they actually started firing on Wagner in an effort to "bring them into line".
... and even that failed catastrophically as wagner just completely destroyed their troops and speared into russia unopposed. Showing once again just how superior they were to the official state conscripts.
And yet putin pissed all of it away. I am truly baffled as to what he was even thinking when he did that.
