Russia-Ukraine War Politics Thread Mk. 2

then expect your planes to be shot down

At the end of the day that's not a fight russia can win.

This is not the russia of the soviet union they have visibly decayed as a country to the point where they cant take the most tank invady country in the world in less then 2 months. Their not going to be able to take on Nato's combined might and come out the winner.

Fucking Kazahkstan is snubbing Moscow these days; the second Russia starts real shit with NATO, the Central Asian stan's will probably make a move to kick out as much of Moscow's power as possible, with military force if needed.

Add in places like Dagestan and other occupied republics wanting independence from Moscow, and the end of Russia will likely be at the hands of it's former vassals/subjects.

Missiles?
What missiles?

From what launchers?

Because unless you've failed to pay attention, the Russians haven't been able to shut down the Ukrainian Air Force, which is using old Soviet gear. They also haven't been able to reliably protect their SAMs from Ukrainian drone attacks and artillery.

What do they have that's going to work against cutting-edge NATO aircraft, with cutting edge air-to-ground missiles specifically designed for taking out SAM batteries?

Well, why havent they declared a no fly zone then? NATO has never been shy about declaring no fly zones.

Becouse Germans are soviet allies, and USA want deal with them, not destroy them.Thank God for comrade putin who heroically keep refusing it - otherwise,Poland would be arleady sell to kgbstan.

No, no dodging.

Answer the question, or admit you're just making stuff up.

Answer what?

I have no idea how many missile launchers Russia has in Kaliningrad.

But the idea that Russia cant shoot down Ukrainian planes is fucking LAUGHABLE considering Ukraine is literally begging for f-16s. So Ukraine can make very rare sorties? BFD. Even the luftwaffe could still make sorties at the end. The Russian missile defense net isnt everywhere. The fact is, Russia has shot Ukraines Airforce out of the sky, and several other former airforces that were donated to it. And once the f16s arrive, they will be shot down too.

And my statement stands. If NATO thought they could close the sky, they would try. But they cant. And they know it.

So no, you're just in delusional Rusaboo land.

Everything the Russians have used against the Ukrainians has performed more poorly than people expected. It's rarely useless, but it's definitely sub-par.

NATO kit is the most advanced hardware in the world, and includes specialized anti-SAM weaponry that last I checked, nobody else fields at all.

If NATO decided to blockade the Kaliningrad enclave, there's not a bloody thing the Russians could do about it without getting into a shooting war that they'd lose in a matter of days.

Luftwaffe had state of art planes for the time, including the first operational jet fighter in history.

Ukraine has a bunch of Cold War era Soviet planes with minimal modernization since then and decades of underfunded maintenance, yet they still are around after 2 years of the war, without any production. Of course they want something better than that.

By that logic you soon will start to argue that if NATO could nuke Russia, it would, so it can't :D
The problem is that it would be kinda an act of war, like a naval blockade, and the western leadership doesn't have the guts for that.
