Oh, lovely. They've sent me a mo-ron.
Why isn't africa a utopian of abundance then? it is rife with natural resources.
The Cold War happened and then there's just the inertia of corruption and grudges towards all the progress made destroying the investment as one factor.

Isn't it more logical and cheaper to just kill POWs with bullets than a bomb? They already have a sinking reputation so they can go through with it.
Not if the point is to try to make your enemy look bad rather than just killing some POWs. It was so their media could point and laugh at the stupid Ukrainians for killing their own men, after all.

Sounds too complex for a bunch of POWs.

This is the first time I heard of it. Faking friendly fire by destroying the prisons the POWs reside in when it's cheaper to just put a bullet in each of their heads and then get new POWs to replace their spot.

Less plausible deniability, "execution wounds" and torture marks are clear evidence of war crimes, burned\exploded corpses you can bullshit about.

The DNR intended a theatrical show trial though and execute them after passing death sentences. Considering the fact that Azov were used as a death squad, to keep population of Mauripol region in line, the trial would be rather embarrassing for Ukraine and State Department, as they would be made to confess real and imaginary crimes, so blowing them up with HIMARS would save them a lot of headache. So yeah, the nominal good guys had more incentive to blow up the prison than the bad guys.

... are you seriously trying to tell me that mere natural resources as some sort of perfect shield against government corruption, social ills, civil war, destroyed industry (all was shipped to china), and failed economic policy?

Why isn't africa a utopian of abundance then? it is rife with natural resources.
Well that is hyperbolic. Look dude things aren't as bad as you think they are. One political shifts happen in the US government all the time. And China is going down the crapper as we speak thanks to their Communism and raping of the environment. As for Africa Colonialism did a number on Africa. It caused a whole lot of tribal strife that will take decades to sort out. The same way the Balkans got screwed up by the Soviet Union. The US has plenty of people who have a desire to fix the countries problems and we contrary to what you may see on some right leaning Youtube channels have more level headed people working on things on grass root levels. We will do fine. Hard times come and Hard times go. But the Union endures it all.

To be fair to subsararan Africa it went from tribal societys to nation states in a couple centuries compressing over a thousand years of social political and technology growth into less than 300 years

I mean... not really?
I argued that the USA is going to collapse, this collapse which I am predicting has nothing to do with natural resources.
You counter with USA having too much natural resources to collapse...

But, all the oil reserves in the world are not going to do anything to stop the issues I listed. They are simply completely unrelated to what I said.

As for mineral wealth in alaska... useless since the USA moved all their factories to china.

A childish retort in all caps with no punctuation, intentional misspelling; and, to top it all off, a rolling eyes emoji. Yep; that pretty much sums up the discourse surrounding Russia's invasion into Ukraine right there.
Welcome to the internet, I see you are new.

Africans continue to suffer from Western microaggressions even nowadays lol. Else, they'd quickly turn Africa into Wakanda lol! :D

In all seriousness when you actually look at this from a historical point of view the amount of progress africa has made is actually incredibly impressive.

Certainly, and no doubt even more impressive when taking its massive brain drain into account. Still, some parts of Africa are nicer to live than some other parts of Africa. Rwanda, ironically, is one of the better places to live in Africa nowadays.

Yeah, it sums up your side pretty well. ;) What makes this funnier is that you apparently didn't realize I was parodying the person I was arguing with. :ROFLMAO:

I was more commentating on both sides of this little fracas you all have had going on for months; but please, go ahead and lump me in with "the enemy". Not like I'm not used to that by this point. Nobody is the good guy here; not the Russian government, not the Ukrainian government, not the American government, and certainly not any of you lot insulting each other on the internet over it.

I don't know by what standard do you qualify the "good guys" here, and i probably don't give a damn about it anyway. What i do know is that Ukrainian government is the "our guy" in this mess, because Russia with its attempt to rebuild its empire sure as hell isn't.
