I hope he succeeds, and it works beautifully, and since Musk is not an EU citizen nor subject to EU law, the Eurocrats can do nothing to him.
Maybe what those people need is to have their noses rubbed firmly info the fact that they do not rule the world, and that making something illegal in one country has zero relevance for what people do in other countries.

The problem with that is Musk has demonstrated he isn't as hands off as he claims. His ego has him censoring trivial bullshit and letting terrorists and war criminals post heinous snuff. His censors take it out when they see it but Elon, gutted their numbers and modified the censorship AI for his bullshit.
I wouldn't have a problem if it was really free speech on the platform. Musk has rather conclusively proven its only free if you agree with his lunacy.
