Amazing to see the same journoscum who insist LibsOfTikTok and AndyNgo are literal terrorists for reposting public info now defend doxing Elon's kids because they do it.
I'll admit I've also seen some on the far right livid that Musk is actually dealing with the real security threat ability live-tweeting people's locations is, and is not being a 'free speech absolutist' when it comes to doxxing, because of how it may spill over into affecting OSINT work.
The delay is a fair compromise, at least in my view; moving down to 12 hours would be better, and putting in carve outs for warzone OSINT work.
However, some on the right are asking how Musk blocking 2nd/3rd party links to the flight tracker stuff is different from suppressing the Hunter Biden laptop story, which to me seems like being angry Musk isn't taking the risk of assassination via live-tweeted location lightly after what happened to his kid, and is accepting there are practical issues with bad actors using twitter to organize hits.
It's like they forgot what the Left did during the summer of 2020 using Twitter to coordinate hits and riots, and call out people's locations for attacks.
Musk has openly said if the 10% at the fringes of both sides is unhappy with him, but the remaining 80% are ok with things, he's probably doing things right. Which may piss off some on the far-right, however it looks more like reasonable security concerns to most reasonable folks.
