Musk actually buys Twitter.

BTW she is not the only subhuman j*urno who thinks twitter is evil because Elon owns it and the rest of internet will treat them with the same kiddy gloves. Over 150 of the parasites are planning to make the jump. I for one welcome them to join, hopefully being forced to face the people they attack from their ivory towers in honest verbal combat causes some of them to either develop a thicker skin of do a backflip off a skyscraper.

Gutfeld's and company take on the Twitter situation.
I agree with Tyrus here about the benefits of verification.A bunch of on-line services do it with payments, though, since the card holder's name is on the transaction and I think that works quite well.

Taylor is already trying to find out whose dick she needs to suck to get that special treatment she is used to on Twitter.

This hag came into Mastodon without any research or thinking. She doesn't understand the decentralized nature of it, the different instances, the fact people from one instance and jump into another, and much more. It's pathetic how the thin veneer of "tech journalist" crumbles when faced with something outside the top 3 big tech sites.

Mastodon is decentralized, so she can only suck so many dicks to get important on only so many servers.

I joined 1-2 instances for weeb content a while back iirc, didn't really stick with me.

Also, if she really wants to make it big she should suck Torba's dick, since IIRC GAB is the largest Mastodon instance out there. :D

Machine Translation via DeepL:
SPD members of parliament see the controversial takeover of Twitter by Elon Musk as a threat to freedom of expression - and are calling for consequences. "The fact that Twitter is now being taken over by someone who wants to use the network much more politically again, I think is highly problematic," party leader Lars Klingbeil told the "Handelsblatt ". "Should the diversity of opinion continue to be attacked, the authorities must take consistent action."

SPD digital politician Jens Zimmermann is also "extremely critical" of the current development. With a workforce cut in half, Twitter will not be able to meet the legal requirements for moderating content and dealing with complaints in Europe, Zimmermann told Handelsblatt. The Federal Office of Justice must "take Twitter under tighter supervision and act quickly and decisively in the event of violations," he added.

Entrepreneur Musk is heavily criticized after his takeover of Twitter last week : By mail, half of all employees were laid off, and a blue checkmark for verification is to cost eight dollars a month in the future. Most recently, well-known companies such as Volkswagen and Pfizer had announced their intention to suspend advertising on Twitter. The companies worry that their ads could show up alongside negative content. Musk then threatened to expose these companies.

The background to the companies' concern is that Musk saw freedom of expression on the platform restricted before the takeover. Critics fear that in the future, agitation and conspiracy narratives will be given more space on Twitter.

Zimmermann calls for "decisive action" from Justice Minister Bushman
SPD digital politician Zimmermann said he also expects "decisive action" from Federal Justice Minister Marco Buschmann (FDP). In Germany, the Federal Office of Justice is responsible for complaints about problematic content on social networks and can also impose fines on platform operators if necessary.

Zimmermann said, "If Twitter does not comply with the requirements, there is a threat of penalties not only against the company, but also against responsible managers." Whether a manager responsible for Germany would be willing to be personally liable for several million euros is likely to fuel discussions within the company.

That infuriates them. It's like... blacks being allowed to sit in the front of the bus! Or vile self-made parvenus being allowed to reserve a table at an expensive restaurant. The horror! Don't the lower classes know that the special positions are reserved for the elite?

Exactly. The comparison is ludicrous.

But it's the exact kind of hysterical comparison that insane people actually do make. They just don't phrase it like this. They turn it in the other direction: "Elon letting people buy a subscription is LITERALLY HITLER! Not policing speech is NAZISM!" But underneath, the hysteria reveals a deep-seated hatred towards anyone who isn't a member of their little club. Their mentality is that of insane extremism, which shows that the (current) "blue checkmark crowd" is rather full of insane and extremist people.

Which brings us back around to the over-blown reaction to what's basically a normal subscription programme. They don't care about the eight dollars. They get riled up because it threatens their cultish little hive.

Which I'm demonstrating by using comparisons similar to their own, but in a way that paints them in a decidely less sympathetic light. After all: is there anything less sympathetic than an elitist bigot who acts like a poor victim?

I wonder how their parents failed so hard to create such people.
