Musk actually buys Twitter.

Could Biden do this even though it is going through? Musk buying Twitter.
The US Government stopping Musk from buying twitter is sorta like my mom trying to prevent my dad from buying something expensive when he has access to a credit card. Good luck with that.

"Why is there a Purple '65 Porsche in the driveway?" is something my eldest sis has actually asked our Mom.

Bloomberg reports Musk expects to close the deal by Friday.

Keep in mind that the 28th is the deadline set by the judge, who rejected Musk's request to outright dismiss the case as moot now that he is no longer contesting the purchase, but did put the case on hold until said deadline.

A national security investigation into Musk purchasing Twitter, or any of his business dealings, has huge negative implications for the US and would get the US government in very hot water.

SpaceX is one of the five most strategically important national security players in the US, and even globally.

I mean Musk calling a press conference (or more likely Tweeting) that if the Biden Administration doesn't trust him with Twitter then he doesn't see why they should trust him with NRO satellite launches and so SpaceX is temporarily placing all of its government launch contracts on hold would cause the entire NatSec establishment and Congress to explode on the Biden administration basically instantly.

Just investigating him purchasing Twitter on NatSec grounds would cause the Republicans, especially if they take the House or Senate in the Midterms, to open up all manner of Congressional investigations into the Biden administration.

An American citizen with TS/SCI clearance and, by dollar value, the single most valuable government contractor (as an individual) purchasing an ultimately relatively small website is a threat to national security?

It's a claim that just doesn't pass the smell test, which means really easy political hay.

honestly at this point its just one more thing on the pile.

This by the way is why the left is freaking out a lot of very illegal shit was done and weaponized legalism can very easily be used against them.

I was tempted to put this in the Pun Containment Thread...

Got the joke and all, but seriously, what’s the context here? I’d imagine it’s just Elon being Elon, though I’m curious as to where he got that sink from.

I think he's just making a pun because the sale's being finalized right now, and he's trolling over it. Actually, he's trolling a lot, he's been posting pretty rapid-fire with the jokes at their expense.

And then there's the memes...

Where'd you get the second meme from?

Or, is it original?

Eh for a gender neutral bathroom. Everyone gets a stall. Basically a closet with a toilet in it. That locks from the inside. Have signs that show they are neutral and Bob's your uncle.
i.e.: Basically a womens public restroom.

If you look a the plans for back-to-back gendered restrooms meant to be used by more than on person at a time the mens room is a mirror image of the womens room with half of the stalls getting swapped out for urinals and no tampon dispenser.
