Musk actually buys Twitter.

Hmm, forgot to add a favorite comment. Here we go:

EDIT: Kay, looks like the lawsuit is legit, I've found a few more sources now.

Yeah pretty much. They didn't want to sell, got forced into it by Musk making a good offer and the shareholders and government threatening them. Then when Musk demanded to actually see the goods they played hard to get, and now they crash.

I'm wondering if twitter thought this lawsuit through, because discovery could end up being more damaging than what's already been exposed.

There's a reason that companies often try to settle rather than go to discovery, and I don't think tactics like running the opposition out of money because you're a corporation will work when it's against Elon Musk.

Their at the point where they are pretty much fucked.

Fraud is a pretty big deal after all so I honestly think a few people are going to prison.

They played a stupid game, and are now about to be rewarded their stupid prize.

What about discovery? The company that bought Warner Brothers?
Judicial discovery, Zachowan.

It's where a party to a lawsuit can (among other things) issue subpoenas, and the requested information has to be handed over. It becomes part of the record, too. So all that stuff Twitter didn't want to show to Musk? They'll be forced to show all of that, and probably far more, to a far broader audience...

To put it another way: making this a lawsuit is the best way, bar none, to have the whole world see just how rotten Twitter is on the inside.

I understand that Elon is playing games with Twitter, but I do wish he'd just bite the bullet and get it out of the left's hands.

Oh if only.

Now I don't want to play devil's advocate, but there might be a tiny, little, 0.05% of a chance that Elon is redirecting resource towards that absurd Doge coin lawsuit. Assuming there's any substance to it anyway.

They've suspended Elon's account.

The Twitter execs must be really in the shit if they think this actually will help anything.

Edit: Appears this was a fake account that pretended to be Elon.
