Probably it is mostly a matter of good forest management. If you do controlled burns often enough to keep the forest health, you don't need to worry too much about forest fires.
 
Che Guevara would be seen as a fascist if he didn't have good PR and the fact he died in Bolivia.
Not to mention that some "radical chic" or progressives or both tend to conveniently forget that after 1959 not even Castro like his Argentinian compadre that much.





Both videos have good points on why Che was not the patron saint of the working classes and wasn't too bright either.
In the end, in my own personal and biased opinion, Che Guevara death was convenient for everyone : for the leftists he was a tad bit too much revolutionary zealot and for rightists they got rid of their least favorite pest.

Latin America generally dodged a bullet by him failing and dying in the Bolivian jungle.
