So, if you're going to do drugs do crack? If anything, chick in the bottom left looks better than be before, so long as you don't mind acne. Has she lost weight?

Honestly, I feel like the two on top are a bit misleading. Those two are definitely coming down, worst time to get photo'd.

Instinctively want to deny that the woke girl is the same person. But you look at the nose and those are the same. Chick obviously gained weight as well, maybe she should have tried crack?

Lots of dynasties haven't lasted as long as we have
In terms of democracies we're easily in the top 5 ever. The rate of turnover with revolutions is pretty high too, which makes the norm less than a single century. There are a lot of dynasties that have short reigns, and a few with very very long ones, but the norm is in the range of over a century or two.

You might argue that the success rate of democracies will improve over time as there are more examples. I disagree. The scenarios which have led to short democratic regimes in the past are extant in the present so there is no reason I can see why the outcome should differ.
You are right that the term 'pathetic' is probably hyperbolic. 'Adequate' would have perhaps been better.

As far as I can tell, a poll just dropped that only half of black people asked think it's OK to be white.

This absolutely horrified Scott Adams, the creator of dilbert, as that is insanely racist.

So on his podcast he basically said, screw it. That's a hate group targeting white and Asian people apparently. He's sick of seeing clips of random attacks from black people in cities. It may not be accurate but it's all he sees. F it. Move away from cities. Move away from high concentrations of black people. He has reached out all his life and now he gets called racist when half the black population thinks being white is bad. The media is racist.

So... needless to say, the left isn't taking it well.

Wasn't Scott Addams pretty Left before? Not woke but still on the left end of the classical liberal spectrum? I remember he was pretty heavy handed during the presidential race and with covid.

Yeah, he criticized the ESG system back in September and almost 80 newspapers canceled Dilbert the same week. They've been going after him hard and he's been losing subscribers ever since. The ESG group does not tolerate any criticism.

The interview is here. It's about two hours long but pretty thoroughly bookmarked by subject. The part that really set people off is around the fifteen-minute mark.

This has happened to a lot of leftists over the years. Adams is in the same crowd as Maher and Elon Musk who've watched the left moving away from their previously centrist position like crazy.

Eh... maybe.

He subscribes to looking at reality. So he's been leaning more and more right over the years. He was kinda appalled at all the lies and blatant corruption from the democrats during the Trump years.

His problem is that he isn't able to admit just how far the radical left is willing to go.

He recently admitted that the people against the covid Vax were 100% right but that they didn't get there from logic or science. Just going against the government. Which was the right move. But they got lucky this time. Don't gloat to hard.

So he relies too much on "experts" without being critical enough.

Ah, so just the inevitable has happened, someone has noticed something, and as we all know, there is a war on noticing certain things.

The science was always that such things should be tested for a long time in many ways very carefully, without that we can't know one way or another.
The pro-vax side claimed an emergency critical enough to forego all that, a credit of trust which turned out to be quite fraudulently taken, but there we run into the question of government, politics, and how bad the emergency really was, which in some ways is more politics than science, but the mixture here is understandably very complicated.
