Yeah, that's absolute bullshit. While I respect the religious people I know and generally think most of them are good people, our laws are founded in Christian philosophy, and there's no shortage of Christians wanting to do things like ban gay marriage or abortions. (I even somewhat agree with the latter.) I remember the book burnings and Christian moral busybodies of the 90s wanting to ban shit like Harry Potter.
