Reminds me of a case I read out of California. A psychological method called "Reintegrative Therapy" was invented by Dr. Joseph Nicolosi to help patients deal with past trauma.

Some of his patients have also left homosexuality behind and become straight as a result of his therapy. Large scale corruption, an out of touch and increasingly psychotic elite up its own ass, censorship, and a host of other things have all happened before. And 2000 years gives you a whole lot of tools to use in those situations. Say what you will about the old christians they were a very successful subversive movement that managed to survive several purges.

I think your looking at modernity as the end all be all of history and that is a mistake, there is a lot of history and a lot of tactics, ideas and other things in the past begging to be reporposed into modern use again.

Ok, guess I have to point out the 200-kiloton and fiber-optic elephants in the room when it comes to tech as well.

All the old social paradigms existed in a world where, at the end of the day, if you had to resort to warfare or rebellion to achieve you goals/protect/free your people, the warfare would only screw over the local region if it went scorched earth. It also existed where new ideas could not be so easily introduced or debated by wide sections of the population, because the knowledge was so isolated or esoteric. They also existed before near-instantaneous global communications.

Now Scorched Earth means nations uninvolved in any armed conflict still suffer the effects of widespread fallout/contamination of areas/water supplies for generations, because radiation doesn't care about national borders. Or worse, it results in a literal Scorched Earth, if some of those nukes have cobalt jackets.

And the internet means that in the limited amount of time before everyone is fucked in a conflict like that, the rest of the world will know exactly who is responsible for what has happened.

Liberty however, as a concept, has managed to transend all those changes that have threatened 'tradition', as it still unites many parts of the center and moderates on both sides, even if the Far-Left Marxists hate liberty when it's for anyone but the Politburo.

Focus on preserving liberty, more than tradition, and the Right will gain so much more ground.

I actually do not hate the RINOs these were people who came to politics during a very different era of politics, when things were more civil and the left a lot less crazy. For back then they were decent enough but circumstances changed and their skillset is no longer helpful and is now in fact harmful.
