Why not make military pay tax free? That is the thing that puzzles me. Service men and women are risking their necks for the country. So why tax them while in service?
We get our money back in the end via refund

I mean he is partially right but partially wrong.
During the late 1800s early 1900z we had a MASSIVE boom if immigrants that basically helped grow our country.

No, he's actually still right.

Those were immigrants. Into the country that had already been built by settlers.

They didn't build the country, they moved into what others already built.

My Serbian, Romanian and Croation family immigrated here, too. They didn't build the country. They weren't settlers or pioneers.

Except Irish immigrants helped build the country as did Chinese ones.
Unless you mean the labor isn't considered building it?
Because the Italian immigrants, Jewish immigrants, Irish, etc have had huge help with building various aspects of thr country.
My family were settlers so i have no room to talk

They helped build on what was already here.

Early settlers went into the wilderness, populated sparsely by natives, and built this nation from nothing.

Thats the difference from immigrant and settler, which matt was highlighting.

No, not always. The German immigrants were crucial in making the Midwest what it is. There would be no breadbaskey without them for instance
