Meme Thread for Both Posting and Discussing Memes

Not really a lot of guys who do that generally do so after coming out of a bad relationship or marriage. To be honest I don't really see much reason for a guy to get married today since he gains absolutely nothing from it and risks everything.

Person 1: Hey, this building is on fire. We should put it out.

Person 2: Well, I'm cold! So I'll dump MORE gasoline* on it!

*Petrol, for you Europeans

Like I legitimate do not know a single guy my own age that I am friends with or went to school with that isn't divorced now. It's always the same story too they catch their wives cheating on them or said wife leaves them for some petty reason. The truly damning part of this though is that the wife gets the kids if there are any and half the husbands shit regardless of how big of a piece of shit they were. My best friend his wife developed a drug problem to the point he got off work and found her passed out with a needle in her arm instead of watching their kids. He collected evidence got the police involved and still lost custody initially luckily for the sake of his kids he got it later. But regardless guys do not actually gain anything from being legally married and only take the risk of losing everything, It's a rigged game not worth playing if you ask me.

I'm not saying that things don't have to change. I'm saying letting your libido run wild and enabling this stuff IS NOT HELPING.

To quote Captain James T Kirk: "On your planet, Mr Spock, women are logical. No other planet in the galaxy can make that claim."
No the logic lines up perfectly if you read above.

They dress that way to attract attention, and then react in a nasty way to the attention, as a method to attract even more attention.

It's all about just getting attention.

you won't get those out of marriage in a western country in 2024
My wife is less than a week from giving birth to our first child. She thinks I am the best thing that's ever happened to her. I literally asked her to finish the prior sentence for me.

Says she'd fight people for me.

It did take until I was 36 to find a woman I could trust with a marriage commitment. I turned down, and women turned me down, multiple times before this.

Congrats on the child, my first born is 5 months old, it Flys by!!
And I'm in the same boat. Wife and I argue but we will die for each other and fight for each other.
I'm 25, wife is 22, and we met when I was her age and she was 19.
I got lucky online but we are deeply in love and enjoy every aspect we can.
Parenting has been a strain but one we needed

So one of you had their first child 5 months ago and one of you will have it in a week?
This is way too early for divorce and way too early to claim you beat the odds and won the lottery.

I sincerely hope you beat the odds.
But your anecdote is not exactly an example of how marriage works.

Look around at people who got married 10 years ago. See how many of them are still married vs how many are divorced

Average length of a first marriage that ends in divorce is like 8 years.

Please note, that it is not 'the average length of marriage.' But of marriages that end in divorce.

But even that doesn't mean your odds are perfect if you clear 8 years.

You could be like my Grandparents and get divorced after forty years of marriage.

Wife and I have been together almost 20 years with multiple kids.
Brothers are older and have kids of their own.
Parents married over 60 years.

Multiple friends married just as long with their own kids and zero divorce.

Sure, I have friends that have gotten divorced, but I could have told you that was going to happen when they got hitched.
