I didn't say we were not retarded, But that was when we were teenagers and all teenagers are retarded. Just at least we didn't financially ruin people in the way cancel culture does now.

All right, that's fair.

Yeah, I was wondering when they'd abandon the “It’s a private company!” refrain and start crying for Big Government to "Do something!" about Musk's takeover. Seems I saw where the wind was blowing already, so... yay, me, I guess?

There was an old fucker I used to know who liked to say that
"the Greeks weren't day, they just like to have recreational sex with dudes"

The actual point being, at the time Greek culture viewed men as the epitome of socio-sexual prowess, women were a requisite deviation for the purpose of reproduction because the gods did not see fit to make men capable of mon-genered reproduction.
The extremely NSFW webcomic Oglaf* includes a tribe of male-only barbarians who actually do reproduce homosexually. One of the stories with them includes a daughter being born and left out to die of exposure. When she survives by killing everything which came to get her ... her dad is proud and says "She is my son."

They're sorta the Ancient Greeks minus the culture.

* Too NSFW to link to, btw.

That sounds like something that would require brain bleach after bearing witness too.

That, and even when Millennials were posting cringe dances on YouTube in the 2000s, I’m pretty sure there was nothing quite like seven TikTok dances you can do to save Roe v. Wade or whatever. Frankly, if Justice Kavanaugh mustered the bravery to help overturn it despite facing a (poorly done) assassination attempt, then I don’t see TikTok dances changing his mind, either.
The cringe then was anorexia/bulemia.

Note about 6-7 years ago, instead of having your own gender, it was having your own sexuality, but that died when people realized they might have to follow through with romancing someone they weren't attracted to. In contrast, mutilating your body is apparently easier, because you don't notice a pill all at once.

Bulemia is remarkably similar really.
The only difference is that back then people were trying to protect children from the popular method of self harm
And now people are trying to encourage them to self harm

If you add Byzantium to the Roman Empire lifetime it lasted a hell of a lot longer, too.
Almost 1500 years.

The British empire lasted for, what, 300 max?

Yes.

But the British Empire had both Stiff Upper Lips and tea, so it's better. :p

The enlisted had the uniforms of the same colour though and all regular armies of that era had well visible uniforms.
