Basically, it isn't supposed to, but could end up applying because of loose wording
This seems like it's something good in theory (keeping out gang members and Klanners), but the wording and definitions need to be very fucking specific and limited, otherwise it will be abused to hell and back.

Really hope it doesn't make it through.

The article makes it seem like the bill is specifically going after it.

As I said, the wording of the actual bill needs to be tightened up, very specifically defined, and there needs to be real discussion about who's definition of 'hate group' the bill operates on.

The intent of the bill, if the writers are being honest and genuine, is good, but is ripe for abuse in the current form.
 
And yet still not peek social justice yet. I’m sure they can find more. How did people this inept gain power? Something to wonder about.
 


Well, this ought to slow down the nominations a bit. I expect other Dems are either cheering, or hitting thier heads against the wall.

Seems to me like this should be violating some kind of anti-discrimination law. Is this something actionable that Republicans can act on?
