CNN slammed for describing killing of Uber Eats driver an 'accident': 'So dishonest'
So, basically, a couple of teen-aged girls tazed and car-jacked an old man, and because of the races and possibly sexes of the people involved, CNN just couldn't bring themselves to describe what actually happened, and insisted on calling it an "accident." Except, if you watch what happened, they tried stealing this guy's car, he tried to stop them by refusing to get entirely out of it, and they took off at high speed while he clung to the side of it, and immediately wrecked the car, killing him in the process. But because those two teens happened to be black girls, and their victim an aged immigrant from Pakistan, the same crowd that lost their shit over some kid in a MAGA hat smiling at an elderly Native man getting in his face in an effort to intimidate him is now doing their best to pretend they didn't notice that this happened.

Apologies for the derail, but to clarify on each point...

...it depends on the interpretation. The non-canon sequels for God-Emperor of Dune play it straight, but ignoring those, and it's implied that the whole stigma against 'thinking machines' was because Humanity had become too dependent on them. Machines did everything for Humans, not just menial labor but even outright making their decisions for them.
"Do DRUGS"
Leto II actually worked to break Humanity's dependence on melange, i.e. spice. Humanity depended on spice for FTL travel, to augment their physical abilities, and to see the future. This led to his millennia-long ploy - the Golden Path - using reverse-psychology to force the development of no-ships which could travel FTL without spice-dependent navigators at the helm. The breeding program - yup, literal eugenics - also ensured the Human race would have the augmented physiques of spice users without needing to use spice, while also having the null genes that rendered them invisible to precognition.
"OVERCOME THE LIMITATION OF THE HUMAN MIND"
Leto II primarily focused on breaking the trap of precognition. That is, visions always come true, unless you were a precog yourself, in which case you had a small degree of protection. But the Golden Path also included what Leto II described as "a lesson that Humanity would remember in its bones". That is, they became so dependent on him, the God-Emperor, to make all the decisions for them that they would live in unthinking complacency, that Humanity would eventually sicken of their weakness and would never again want to live in such a condition after his fall.
Considering how homosexuality is stigmatized in Dune, they wouldn't even bother looking for that message. They'd just got all hot and bothered from that fact alone.

Something funny I noticed is that this article is written by one Sheryl G. Stolberg, who is basically an older version of Michelle "We can replace them" Goldberg. Brings to mind the image that these types of affluent progressive faux-journalists are pumped out in a lab.
