This is one of the times where it fills me with horror. The more I hear about the state China is in the more I wonder how it hasn’t imploded. And what the West’s fate might look like and how long it will take us to stand up.

Incidentally, the sewer oil is extremely polluted with toxic metals.

edit: well, I searched for it... and I found two separate baby formula scandals. are those what you are referring to?
in 2008 they caught a large scale production that diluted the real milk products by 50% and added a toxic chemical to trick testing equipment. the chemical causes kidney stones in babies. 300k babies were affected. with over 54k babies being hospitalized.
in 2004 they caught a smaller scale fake baby formula that was extremely diluted by 80% to 90% and caused severe malnourishment. that resulted in the deaths of 50 or so babies and the harm of 200 babies

Sudan I red dye was banned all over the world for being cancerous. Including in china.
but due to lack of proper detection mechanisms it was kept in widespread use anyway. Including by the chinese branches of the american companies Heinz and kentucky fried chicken.
