And I thought they had some barricades/security around where Trump was speaking as well, which i why I thought they may be able to check people coming into the crowd near him.

In general I just feel Trump and his campaign were way too blaise about bad actors and grifters getting into his events, or acting in his name, and acted too slowly/too late to issues I saw coming weeks before.

As I've said, there was a reason I did not go to Trump events, and Jan 6th showed a lot of what I feared could happen at many Trump events if bad actors got the crowd riled up against Trump's wishes.

I'm a democrat from Indiana and quite glad he went from being our Governer to the being the much less harmful US Vice President where he only had three things to do: be alive and coherent just in case, break Senate ties, and preside over Congress when they say "these election results are valid".

Heck, after the election was decided he was couch surfing in Indiana for a bit.

I may dislike him greatly for a whole host of reasons but calling him a traitor is going way too far.

He won't get anywhere in the primaries
 
Pence lost his entire following that day. He still doesn't realize it. I remember the videos when he visited a military base a few days later and the sheer fucking cold shoulder he got from the troops was almost painful to see. I guarantee you that if those men weren't at work in their uniforms they would have straight up booed him. He is likely more hated than most Democrats at this point because of the betrayal.

Just goes to show how little establishment types like him think of the average American citizen; that not getting away with something like that comes as a surprise.

He should have realized that he'd lost his following when Indiana Republicans who hated Trump and preferred Hillary started saying in private "I'm voting for Trump just so we can be rid of Pence" back in '16.

its a political realinment.

Were going to see a lot of former democrats come in our direction and were going to see some neo cons leave the republicans and join up with the dems. The whole alliance network is being shaken up and put into different camps. Pence just needs to accept he doesn't have a place in the republican party any more and either retire or leave.

It's not just that they think so little of them, they genuinely don't understand what motivates and concerns them. Just think of that photo of Hillary in a working class home.

Alex Jones knew that there were bad actors in the crowd, from the stuff that happened the night before, and was trying to keep people from following them.

Though him being able to shitpost and call out corruption from the floor of Congress, and insult the idiots directly, could be awesome to watch.
