I watched that video. That "teacher" was becoming more and more pissed off that the kid and his mother wouldn't just bow down to her authority and just accept what she said as fact.
It was fucking hilarious to see her death stare the kid and seethe.

Yeah, I don't get why teachers don't get this.
You don't have much authority over what opinions students can rep unless:
1). You are consistently blocking all ideologies being represented that way. For example, banning backpack patches schoolwide, or banning jewelry schoolwide so that people can't wear ideological jewelry. Another example is banning any t-shirt with words (other than logos) on the front.
Note: I actually hadn't watched the video before writing this but she literally points this out.
2). It is obscene. If a student wears a shirt that says, "I fucking hate [insert slur]" you could probably restrict it quite safely.
Outside of something like this, the first amendment kicks in and your just screwed.
3). In this context the teachers obsession with him being in class sounds like she wants an opportunity to brainwash him.
