To start us off... how about a Black student going to an event dressed as Justin Trudeau... in Blackface.

No it didn't turn out well at all. And the press releases issued by the University mysterious failed to point out the student in question was in fact... Black.

Campus Reform said:
Meanwhile, student government leaders were not the only ones to speak out against Peters. The CSU chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers sent an email to its members following the incident, referring to it as"another recent issue with disrespect towards people of color."

Notably, the email stated that "this time it included a senator from the College of Engineering for ASCSU, "but it did not mention Peters' race.

And sadly, no dialogue was had as the only thing the student was able to offer in discussion was the observation that Justin Trudeau does Blackface and gets re-elected, a Black student does Blackface as Justin Trudeau and is condemned... 😢

Oh, lovely. They've sent me a mo-ron.
is it wrong that I laughed?
Go ahead and laugh there's even worse on the internet.

Like Russel Greer. Has a physical disability but acting like a creeper with an obsession for Taylor Swift you can laugh at him with no guilt.

In my own experience at university, some of my professors have taken what can be termed as "Trump Derangement Syndrome" to new levels. I myself am not really politically active, but these things really bother me, because I'm paying top dollar for me to get an education not hear some professor ramble about his political beliefs. Some professors who hate the President still actually get through their lecture material and work to actually educate their students, which is what I actually respect. Though some of these other professors spend more time rambling about their politics rather than teaching their students.

I had a government professor who kept rambling about how bad the president was and how much of a "fascist" he was. I didn't really care for his political input as what I was concerned with was taking that class so I could get my credits to eventually graduate. I have some Leftist friends and even they were cringing at his overtly partisan ramblings. At one point he got on the table and started screaming some incoherent nonsense.

When the issue of things like the planned border wall came up, he pointed to me and my friend and said that he "felt sorry for us" since the president would likely see us deported from the US since we are "people of color." I took great offense to this, as I'm a US citizen, and was born in this country. There was also the fact that he was talking down and condescending to me presenting himself as progressive "white-savior" to me and my friend. This got so bad that we weren't actually learning anything, and I just sat in the back and pulled out my headphones and started watching Curb Your Enthusiasm whenever he started rambling about politics. I considered reporting him, but after talking with some of my other classmates, we thought that out complaints would be dismissed out of hand due to most of the faculty and the administration being of a similar political ideology. I personally feel that educators should separate their politics from their subject material.

Did anyone else have a similar experience in university?

I had a professor who didn't like that Trump got elected with some face palming but that was small talk from one of those uni parties.

I'm laughing my ass off. College/Uni ''professors'' are completely terrified that their ideological rants being shared online is going to burst their little safespace bubble. :ROFLMAO:

Since they're not being confined to lecture halls anymore... kinda like putting a ray of sunlight on a nest of cockroaches...

In my first two years of college every class except for the ones about psychology had nothing to do with what they were listed as, Mathematics were actually some weird political theory course, Literature/Writing/English was about putting literal gibberish and "making up new meanings for words", history about Egypt was twisted away from ancient and modern history in favor of "and here is why all Americans helped the Nazis", Chemistry was closed because they couldn't get enough "People of color"/black people. There Dean of the community college informed me of fraudulent loans being taken out in my name for the California State University, and the only reason that he was informing of this was because of my "Minority Status" and that if I wanted this loan to be expunged from my name and for it to not mark my record I had to go with him into his office and fill out a few forms and answer a few questions with some "friendly folk". I left the college after that semester and never plan on going back.

A coastal town in North Carolina, USA! The people in general are pretty great overall, but the school administrators are utterly insane. And before you ask, yes I contacted the General Board of Education about the whole mess and then I heard about the "Fraudulent Loan from California" meetings a bout two weeks after my complaint with video, audio, and paper evidence was sent. I also think, but cannot prove, that was quietly blacklisted from state-sponsored scholarships.

Suddenly, I don't feel so bad that DeVry lied about helping me find work after I graduated; at least the classes I took actually taught me what they were supposed to.

In reference to the English/literature courses you took and “new meanings” I’d be curious about anything you could recall. I was an English lit major, and dropped out when I realized I could not possibly gain anything valuable from getting the degree.

Are you referring to the types of English professors who like to use new definitions for ideas in literature in the place of real criticism? Maybe you heard “new criticism”tossed around- a theory that author intent does not matter and all your ideas are correct if you can form an argument for them.

I have also seen some professors include some newer feminist/pc friendly terms tha really have no background.

The worst I had was taking an Anthropology course from a professor who is one of the renowned giants of the field of paleoAnthropology with multiple major discoveries to his name. In said course, the professor spent more time bashing Christianity and those who believe in God than teaching the course itself. Then in the final one of the required essay questions was to discuss how belief in any form of religion but especially Christianity was incompatible with intellectual thought and science and that believers need to be purged from the public square (I am NOT kidding).
