Not really; you could trace its origins all the way back to Ancient Greek philosophy.
Prove that shouldn't be hard. Show me where the Greeks codified the scientific method. It doesn't really matter anyway the church being anti science has been debunked numerous times. I'd also point out that Christanity is basically a fusion of Greco culture with Judiasm. So I wouldn't be terribly surprised if the roots of science existed in ancient Greece. I'm highly skeptical they had the scientific method(which is what science is ) though.

In my first two years of college every class except for the ones about psychology had nothing to do with what they were listed as, Mathematics were actually some weird political theory course, Literature/Writing/English was about putting literal gibberish and "making up new meanings for words", history about Egypt was twisted away from ancient and modern history in favor of "and here is why all Americans helped the Nazis", Chemistry was closed because they couldn't get enough "People of color"/black people.

Woah and I though my experience was bad. This is unheard of in the Science department. Even in the most political of universities, usually the core sciences like Chemistry are left alone. What university did you go to if you don't mind me asking?

There Dean of the community college informed me of fraudulent loans being taken out in my name for the California State University, and the only reason that he was informing of this was because of my "Minority Status" and that if I wanted this loan to be expunged from my name and for it to not mark my record I had to go with him into his office and fill out a few forms and answer a few questions with some "friendly folk".
Wait What?! I think this is grounds for legal action right there. Did you ever take the time to speak to a lawyer over this? Such a breach of trust and abusive of power is unacceptable. Plus many universities collect your SSN so they might still have your information. If something like this happened to me, I would have gone straight to a lawyer.

I left the college after that semester and never plan on going back.
I'm sorry you had such a bad college experience. Though I've personally never heard it be this bad for anyone. Unfortunately since I'm pursuing a career in STEM, I have to deal with this and keep my head under the radar. This is why I'm generally apolitical on campus keeping my mouth shut when it comes to such topics.

Science is literally a Christan invention...So much for anti- intellectual.
The age old myth that Gallileo was some sort of righteous intellectual going against the evil anti-science Catholic Church is a myth that needs to die a fiery death. The truth of the matter is that this issue was of politics. The Catholic Church generally avoided commenting on science until there was lots of debate and consensus on the issue. The Pope had no objection to Gallieio's publication of his works. The Renaissance Papacy was one of the largest patrons of art and science. In addition to this in the Middle Ages the Church was one of the few institutions that preserved Greco-Roman texts and worked to help preserve and expand upon this knowledge. The problem with Galileo was that there was a controversy arising because the heliocentric model despite being incorrect about the nature of the Solar System, was still more accurate in predicting the rotation and orbit of celestial bodies. Galileo got into a dispute with the Pope and then openly mocked the Pope and questioned his intelligence in his work, which was a major faux pas that angered the Papacy against him.

Greek philosophy being proto-science is only true to an extent. The theory of the 4 Vitrious Humors for example which led to things like bloodletting was a detriment to medicine. George Washington died prematurely because his doctors bled him out in attempt to treat pneumonia.

Also many advances in science were developed during the Middle Ages where the birth of the modern university occurred. These places were politically neutral and allowed for real debate and learning unlike modern universities.

"Any object, totally or partially immersed in a fluid or liquid, is buoyed up by a force equal to the weight of the fluid displaced by the object." That's Archimedes' principle, a law of physics fundamental to fluid mechanics thought up long before the birth of Christ. Sure, Ancient Greek philosophers didn't codify the scientific method, but much of their work still serves as the foundation of science.

True, but Hippocrates did manage to push medicine partially out of the realm of superstition, by arguing that illnesses were caused by natural phenomenons, and were not punishment from the gods. He also served as the origin of several practices still essential to the field of medicine today, like prognosis and clinical doctrines of observation and documentation.

Scholar forced to resign over police shootings study

Michigan State University leaders have successfully pressured Stephen Hsu to resign from his position as vice president of research and innovation after the Graduate Employees Union launched a campaign to oust him from his role.

This came after the union, which represents teaching and research assistants, crawled through years of blog posts and interviews Hsu had conducted and criticized him for sharing content on genetic differences among different races.

But the main thrust to oust Hsu came because the professor touted Michigan State research that found police are not more likely to shoot African-Americans.

Fordham University punishes a Chinese-American student over "Sinophobic" Instagram posts.

Fordham University is a private institution and there is no legally guaranteed First Amendment Freedom of Speech however like many prestigious universities it has made promises and pledges to uphold freedom of speech and is currently facing other lawsuits in regards to actions it's taken contrary to said promises.

It is also one of the worst rated private universities for Freedom of Speech.

He actually isn't a professor tbf, but a graduate student on his way to being one.

Read some of his "articles", and you will understand why modern Academia needs to be entirely dismantled. And people like him, and their colleagues and advisors deserve to be stripped of any job whatsoever.

Stunningly, Critical Theory is a major interest of his.

Also stunningly he closed his twitter account after the backlash he got from this overt anti Christian sentiment. Brave/s

Wow. That's a special level of hubris, right there.

So, does he think that the Bible is an accurate account, so he'd know where Jesus would actually be? How does he think he's going to overcome literal Divine protection on Jesus up to that point then?

Or, if he thinks the Bible *isn't* an accurate account, but religious fiction, how does he think he's going to have any clue what actually happened, or who he is looking for? If Jesus isn't literally travelling around preaching and performing miracles, how will he know who he's looking for?

Basic logic failure, due to excessive edgelordism.

He wrote some articles about Christianity and capitalism-basically "Christianity became capitalism and capitalism is intrinsically Christian, both bad, West bad, must be destroyed."

Its standard Critical Theory, which "interrogates" the building blocks of western civilization.

Given he talks about assassinating him before his ministry begins-he seems to take prima facie Jesus did exist, and have a ministry.

Realistically he'll encounter some Good Samaritans who will give him food, water and shelter in exchange for enslavement as a catamite bed slave.

Odds are that he'd just end up offing some guy by the name of Brian.
