Business & Finance Great Bud Light Embargo of 2023

I think we've just been given an example of how that is not longer the case. And while their actual consumer base does lean conservative, has that ever stopped any of these companies from going woke though? Just look at the NFL. During the early 2000s they did everything they could to court the "'Merca!" crowd only to stil turn around and support BLM.
In their case I understand because a lot of their talent is black and you want to support your employees and most people didn't get how fucking insane the leadership of BLM was untill it was too late.

The "apology" is absolutely retarded and a complete non-sequiteur at times.

And Junior is full of shit. He doesn't realize these people are fighting a total war. They are not gonna "negotiate" and "compromise" Junior, they are worse than the Islamic Terrorists. At least the Taliban and Al-Qaeada are honest about their hate of the USA and desire for Sharia.

Anecdotal evidence from bar owners suggest Anheuser-Busch sales are reportedly down 30-50% over the last week! 🥹

The gal who manages the liquor store I shop at relayed what their AB rep told her. Paraphrased: "The transgender person is not a Bud Light spokesman. It was just a special can to acknowledge the transition."

Sounds like damage control spin to me.

She went on to mention that Coors is the biggest LGBT+ supporter of them all. May be true but a) they're HQ'd in a Denver suburb and b) they're not alienating their other customers in the process.

The point regarding Coors does seem to have some bearing from a cursory internet search.

Part if the reason people don't know it was meant just as a one off to "celebrate" Dylan's 365th day of womanface is because no one but perpetually online women and trans on tiktok even know who the fuck he is. This debacle is thr first time almost any normie has heard of the existance of this creature. He is extremely astroturfed but that shit does not translate into real world fame, especially nowadays where social media and internet means that people are not forced to rely on the centralized media for info.

Bud Light's returned to Social Media with this amazingly weak and hesitant tweet... the comments are fire. I've seen all of one positive comment so far, from somebody who immediately ghosted when he was honestly asked if he actually drank Bud Light or was just showing political support.

Yikes. Those are some brutal comments.

Heh...

Has anyone watched the recent shortfatotaku video on the bud light boycott?

apparently the Right boycotting bud light is just like the left and the hog warts boycott and in a community post edit:also Matt Walsh is the rights version of vaush

he called pikamee weak which is probably going to lose him more subscribers then the video itself

I feel like he’s trying super hard to be the “enlightened centrist” when a huge proportion of your audience has a backlash maybe you actually did make a mistake?
I didn’t want to make a thread for this and this seemed to fit here.

Their stock is actually up by 6.26% for the last month.

It took a hard hit, had a big spike, and pretty much recovered.

More evidence that get woke go broke is a right wing myth and coping mechanism.

The stock market can actually be a very poor way to determine the overall health of a company. A company can run a deficit, and still have a stock number that makes no sense if it was based on the underlying fundamentals. See Twitter for example A.

The data we would need to determine whether or not the boycott is doing anything is the company’s sales figures pre-boycott and what they are now.

a comment on that video also had a interesting take I’ll quote here

“Remember: The next Anneuser Busch Earnings report is in May but it only covers jan to march. Don't fall for it. The media will use it to say that the boycott isn't working. Also, I wouldn't pay much attention to the current stock price, wait until after the may earning report is released.”

They had a fair hit for a couple weeks. and their competitors got that business. as in they rose by the difference. the people I know who are engaging in the boycott aren't going back. they just picked a different beer to buy habitually.

I genuinely enjoy those Japanese soy products you listed. They are actually tasty.
While the liberal soy products like "soy milk" and "soy meat" just disgust me.

Asians even have the soyboys beat on those. For ex. nearly every country in East Asia have made milk from soy since ancient time, and when compared to Western soy milk, every Asian I've known whove had both say it's like comparing a lovingly made local craft beer to Bud Light pisswater (plus Asian soy milk doesn't lower your testosterone; apparently Western soy milk strips a lot of the nutrients, which is why tonyuu and dou jiang are thicker than libtard soy milk).

Its not about serving a good product its about satisfying their base sadism by humilating and hurting you.

It'd just another example of their hypocritical and pathetic nature, taking something good and enjoyable that someone from another culture or fandom made and making a shittier version.

"They may earnings report doesn't count "

"Wait until after the may earnings report is released "

Does it count or not? Lol

The stock market is basically just a Ponzi scheme anyways, so it's not really a good indicator for much of anything in terms of the profitability of a company.

Informative video. I said on one of the threads a while ago that I suspected that the economy didn't actually need the stock market at all, but couldn't really put my reasoning into words. This backs up what I had suspected, plus shedding light on some major issues.

I will say, that what he says isn't true for 100% of companies. For many smaller companies the stock holders do have voting rights, and they do receive dividends. However, in most of those cases, the stocks are almost never traded.
