United States George Floyd Protests, Reactions and Riots

That's why I wasn't nearly as angry when the police prescient burned.

I mean yes whole thing was caused by one jack ass who clearly deserves jail time for at least manslaughter and its not really fair to blame every one for one persons actions but at least its an understandable response. Its a cause and effect thing that shows displeasure. If it was just the prescient I would be willing to let it go as a moment of passion.

Except that is not what happened, Targets business's other things that the community absolutely needs were burned and looted as well. During a nationwide pandemic where every job is vital, before a really bad recession hits again. Its destroying your own community that's stupid and self destructive.

Governments can and have told people you destroy your own stuff deal with it fix the damage yourself. Those communities might take decades to recover maybe generations. It was pointlessly self destructive.

This country is full of self defeating morons, rioters never accomplish anything besides ruining large swaths of their citys and towns .

The police ran away rather than be forced to shoot in self defense?
Also the looters may have cut gas lines to the building.

Which makes their later decision to go in and loot the place even more questionable but no one ever accused them of being too intelligent.

Also most of the business were local small and struggling ones so good targetting.

Not that looting small businesses was necessarily safer for them:

Also if you want a few other interesting videos about what's going (as well as showing exactly what sort of people support these looters) this journalist's twitter has quite a few videos and links and a large amount of death and rape threats sent to her.

I am seeing business owners saying they are okay with the damages...

I wonder if they will be saying the same thing once their insurance companies deny their claims...
They know if they dont say that they are screwed.
“The manager of a fruit-and-vegetable shop places in his window, among the onions and carrots, the slogan: “Workers of the world, unite! Why does he do it? What is he trying to communicate to the world? Is he genuinely enthusiastic about the idea of unity among the workers of the world? Is his enthusiasm so great that he feels an irrepressible impulse to acquaint the public with his ideals? Has he really given more than a moments thought to how such a unification might occur and what it would mean?
I think it can safely be assumed that the overwhelming majority of shopkeepers never think about the slogans they put in their windows, nor do they use them to express their real opinions. That poster was delivered to our greengrocer from the enterprise headquarters along with the onions and carrots. He put them all into the window simply because it has been done that way for years, because everyone does it, and because that is the way it has to be. If he were to refuse, there could be trouble. He could be reproached for not having the proper decoration in his window; someone might even accuse him of disloyalty. He does it because these things must be done if one is to get along in life. It is one of the thousands of details that guarantee him a relatively tranquil life “in harmony
with society,” as they say."

You know, I’d probably have more respect for the rioters if they were burning down government buildings instead of local businesses and homes.

To be clear, I’m obviously not advocating that they do so. However, I think it would make more sense for them to take up their grievances with the local government and law enforcement directly.

Would make more sense than going after the local Target or corner store anyways.

The frustration of every small business owner there.

They’re NOT “brothers” and “sisters” and he is NOT a “brother” the moment he complained and brought up how they were hurting people and destroying things totally unrelated to what they were complaining about

This man came from the ghetto too, but they don’t care and will forget him and maybe expect him to blame someone else for it

Minnesota's Attorney General has taken a break from (alledged) spousal abuse to crowdsource a criminal investigation on Twitter.

Can't you shoot looters on your own property to defend it? I would figure if you own the land/building 100% outright and it isn't a franchise or something, you could have a gun to take out people who run in. Maybe not people who throw something at a window and run away, but people actually running in and trying to steal stuff?

Sadly, not in Minnesota. There is no stand your ground law, and if you aren't in your domicile, you don't get castle doctrine. So even if you feel threatened, you need to retreat.
That is stupid. I would move my home to my work place then and live there. Possibly file a second address or something. Put a sign up saying that I am living in my workplace. I just find the idea of looters very distasteful.

I post that Gateway Pundit article about the kidnapping and murders happening in Minneapolis, and got told I was posting 'far-right, likely false info' by a cousin of mine.

I continue to feel blessed that my blinders were pulled off years ago, otherwise I might be just as naive and swallow the Leftist narrative hook, line, and sinker.

Sorta get what you feel, my family watches a LOT of CNN even in lunch and dinner and my older sister likes to talk in some sort of snobby upper class tone about Trump

I recall her and my other sister talking about some white lady trying to call the cops to kill some black guy and saying she’s likely a Trump supporter

Meanwhile back at CNN while the riots are starting to involve them if the livestream does continue to show it or they moved on. My phone has limited bandwidth.

But over here the police are clashing.
